What’s the over/under on the number of times Uncle Verne and Gary discuss Georgia, Kirby Smart and Mark Richt during the SECCG broadcast tomorrow?

    By the middle of the second quarter, if things go well, all they will have to talk about is coaching changes, and how well our new coach’s defense is ripping the baddoodly outa them Gators.

    Depends. How well does Alabama’s defense play? If they are dominant there will be a couple of “Kirby hopes to bring…” or “Georgia hopes Kirby will bring…” so not too many.

    If Alabama struggles to stop Florida: “Verne you’ve gotta wonder how much all of this Georgia talk has blah, blah, blah.” “Nick is wondering whether this distraction blah blah blah” so it would be non-stop.

    There will be one “for” or “against” or totally gutless comment on the decision itself and how it was made. That’s a given. Because of what Saban said about it, my guess is that they will stick their heads firmly up Nick’s ass and question it. Can’t wait to completely ignore whatever they are saying should I even be watching. I wish you had an option of just ambient noise,

      That’s exactly where I am. We have a Christmas event at our kids’ school, so I doubt I’ll watch a minute of it.

      So what we need is for Bama to be UF (because UF sucks) but to struggle enough defensively for Saban to decide that Smart is a distraction and go ahead and cut him loose before the playoffs.

    I think this is part of the reason Kirby is going to coach in the playoff. It’ll be a huge story, and he/uga will get more national press and help with recruiting than ever before for free.

      I remember the last week in December 2000 when the Dawg message boards were saying the same thing about how often the young FSU OC coaching in the BCS Championship game would be referenced as UGA’S new coach. I watched the game and no one mentioned that Richt was going to UGA. That is why I don’t expect much comment on CBS.
