Welcome, indeed.
“... Shoot, why does anybody who’s ever won something do it again? Because it’s cool. So, let’s go do it again. Let’s see if we’ve got what it takes.” -- Stetson Bennett, The Athletic, 3/22/22
I hate the videos we make. Hype. Lets see some real action on the field. That is the type of hype we need.

That Untube video out today The Georgia Way is first class, not sure who put it together but they deserve a raise.

Nice video and an excellent song choice.

Someone on Twitter pointed out that the whole premise of the song is that someone had failed and is now coming back home. That’s not really what happened here. It’d be more appropriate for Will Muschamp.
A better song for Smart would’ve been Cee-Lo Green’s “Georgia”.

If you consider Kirby’s career as a player, it works.

Nothing makes me more of an “Old Man” than these videos and I’m not so convinced the young men that run 4.4’s and blow people up care, either. Heck, I can stomach the “Fake Juice” uniforms better. Now, “Get off my Lawn”!!!!!

The kids that run 4.4s love the videos, brother. Trust me. This is something we have drastically improved in over the last three yrs. instead, let’s hope the rest of the program improves. You think those 5-star kids don’t picture themselves in hype videos that go viral al over social media?

you must be well over 100 if you think Gladys Knight and the Pips is young people music.

Nothing like a little Monday morning hype. Almost as good as morning coffee, or morning . . . yep, that too.
This whole Kirby thing is starting to wear well with me. Hope it lasts for a long time.

Let the requirements to keep the hype videos and the piped in stadium music be like ones for the coaching staff. If we don’t win a championship in three years, cut them out. I hate the music we play in the stadium now. I know, I know, “the kids love it”. Seriously, if a kid is coming here because of the music we play, how serious is he about winning? You think Reggie Ragland went to Bama for the music? And the music didn’t keep Derrick Henry committed to us, did it?

Funny they didn’t show him making any big hits. Kirby was the WORST tackler I’ve seen not naked Bryan Evans to ever play for us.

Ha! “Named” not “naked.”
Naked Bryan Evans was worse at tackling than clothed and padded BE though so thanks iPhone!

Not sure about the song choice except for he did get here at around midnight from the Dome. Count me in as someone who enjoys hype videos. Does not look like they had much UGA footage to use and while Miami embraced Coach Richt’s background I can see not touting his record at Bama because that would be like helping Bama recruit. My favorite hype video was the one for the LSU game.

Can someone please tell me why the University doesn’t have the guy who makes the AA’s hype videos make the TV commercials? The commercials are terrible.

+1. This.

Kirby’s resume has plenty of UGA in it, but I’m listening to the presser to get a sense of true emotional attachment / commitment as well. I say this because I think it has to be an important part of the hiring decision. I would not feel the same if we had gotten a Chip Kelly, David Shaw, Gary Patterson, etc. hired-gun mercenary.

Actually surprised they didn’t use the tip-drill INT that Kirby had in the 97 win over Florida.
And the guys making the videos are solid. They do a really good job getting great footage and working it together in a creative way.
