The Ole Miss defensive tackle made an on-stage appearance with one of his brothers at Clarksdale, Mississippi’s Ground Zero Blues Club. As a lover of all things Clarksdale, I’m down with that.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Hope the hotel in town placed a sizable hold on his credit card.

So Freeze wants to “have a conversation with him” to decide if he plays in the Sugar Bowl. Seems the “Ole Miss way” has nothing in common with “The Georgia Way”. Fly out a window stoned on synthetic pot and start the Sugar Bowl for Ole Miss, likely kicked off the Bulldogs team.

Is there any news on his brother who was hospitalized very quietly a little earlier this fall? I think he will play due to his talent and knowledge of recruiting process.

I used to hunt at a place just outside of Clarkesdale. Went to some of the blues places there. It is a must visit for anyone who likes an open mike.

I hope they have nothing but ground floor rooms in Clarksdale. I would not want to see him try to fly again… and fail.

Most of all I remember there were highway motels, a la “No Country For Old Men”-style. And some of the owners outside in the parking lots drying corn husks for tamales.

If you get the chance, don’t miss Ground Zero. Morgan Freeman owns it and came down and sat with the crowd one night…had his buddy Willie Nelson with him. The memorabilia alone is worth the trip.
