I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!

I know this is about the NFL, but if you don’t think there’s a college conference commissioner out there who’s heard about its new live game data arrangement with an outfit called Sportradar and isn’t stoking his chin while deep in thought about “a lucrative new deal”, you are kidding yourself.  Besides, aren’t we always being told how much the college game could improve by emulating the pro product?

If that doesn’t offend you, then you might enjoy a couple of pieces from the Las Vegas Sun:

With gamblers needing to monitor that info and call bookies from stadium seats The J. Reid Parker Director of Athletics smells a sponsorship that can pay for that improved cell service at Sanford!

I’ve been doing the daily fantasy thing this year – just dabbling $5-$10 a week on CFB and the Pros. If it ain’t gambling, I don’t know what is. I’m shocked it hasn’t been outlawed yet here in Ga. Once one of our “fine gentlemen” congressmen realizes how much $ exchanges hands, it will either get regulated or will down right be made illegal. I’m having fun playing now, but I’m betting (pun intended) it becomes illegal by the time football comes around in 2016.
