This just means G-Day QBR is even more critical, amirite?

UPDATE:  Here’s the presser in its entirety.

Nothing shocking there, but I do like hearing that there is an emphasis on being organized on the field.

Can we get the stats in 90 days?

    Welcome to Alabamastan…

At least Kirby hasn’t told anyone to ask a Coke bottle yet but he was waving that Dasani bottle around a lot.

  4. That must mean the offense, the defense and the special teams suck! Fire Kirby Smart!

At least he doesn’t scratch his head every time a question is asked.

Thanks for the linked video. I too didn’t see any big surprises in it.

It is indicative of a program starting over. The coaches are learning how to work with each other in game situations as much as the players are.

Reading between the lines, I don’t envy Coach Cheney and Coach Pittman’s task right now as it does not appear we have the depth in the backfield or the strength and size in the line to fully deploy the run-based offense Kirby wants. They will have to adjust the offense to the personnel we have and I believe they’re coming to the conclusion we will have to throw it more than anticipated. This may explain why Kirby is investing a great deal of time in Brice Ramsey’s development.

Summer workouts will be huge for our offense.

I like the focus on live special teams work. Given the situation with our offense, they know we will be counting on special teams and the defense to generate field position, turnovers, and scores to keep us in games. We have to create an advantage here.

It’s still very early, but that’s my read for what it’s worth.

    • This staff and this team may be starting over, but this isn’t a program that’s starting over. Dooley after Griffith was starting over. I believe Smart realizes he needs to build on the success that was here before he was. There isn’t going to be a long honeymoon period unless he wins big and soon.

    QBR rate that bitch.

If we submit a FOI request we should be able to get a feel for how the scrimmage went before Independence Day. 😉

Long as we win at least 11 games, it does not bother me to not see a stat until opening game.

    • old dog

me, too, lakedawg…lies, damn lies and statistics…August can’t get here fast enough…field the team and let them block, tackle, and execute…

      if I need a statistics fix, I’ll follow baseball… 😉

No stats?! Changing the foia?! There’s something much more sinister than cfb going on here.

I’ve heard rumors that under the new IPF an underground lair and missile silo are secretly being constructed.

And why does coach Smart refer to Greg McGarity as “Number 2”? Coincidentally, McGarity wrapped up his ajc interview by shouting “BRING IN THE FEMBOTS!

Has anyone else noticed we’ve been assembling the best scientific young minds in Georgia as preferred walk-ons?

I think we’re on to something.

I’m hearing the stats from the scrimmage will be released in 3 months once they are requested.

  12. I’m 99% behind CKS but that 1% is that he has to realize that he is not in Alabamastan (I love that Timber) anymore. Secondly, No. 2 could at least say he thinks 90 days is overkill and the department will answer all FOIA request in the shortest possible time. How tone deaf is he?
