“It wasn’t just the quarterback last year.”

I guess if you’re a head coach making $4 million a year who’s coming off a disappointing season, “I’m a football coach, not a CEO” is the new black.

  1. How did Pruitt do vs. Smart against Gus the last two years?

So “what he needs is more time to study football…on his way to all the fundraising activities I added to his contract” is the old black.

I’m glad he’s a high school football coach at heart. He could be getting back to his roots as early as the ’17 season, all other things remaining equal.

I think his main problem is the mock turtle neck and sweater vest ..

The type of offense you run determines how your defense will perform. Nobody’s Scout Team can adequately imitate an offense that is totally different from the offense that that team has. That’s why the Genius’s O has lasted so long. He does rather well against teams that don’t see it every year. Gus’s Offense makes Auburn’s defense soft at the line of scrimmage which means he has to out score his opponents. This is why coaches in college ball are really better than in Pro ball. The NFL teams run nearly the same offenses, you seen one you’ve seen them all.

Yeah, pro ball is all about the 1 on 1 matchup you get each Sunday. If you have 1 or 2 guys that beat their man, feed them the ball.
