The Baylor board of regents is expected to remove six-year school president and chancellor Ken Starr by the end of the month – possibly sooner, sources tell HornsDigest.com.
The three dozen members of the Baylor regents board are preparing to blame Starr – not football coach Art Briles – for failed leadership during the ongoing scandal over how the school handled reports of rape and assault made against five BU football players – two of whom (Tevin Elliott and Sam Ukwuachu) were convicted of raping Baylor co-eds, sources close to the situation told HornsDigest.com…
The only thing that is clear, according to sources, is that Starr – not Briles – is going to be the fall guy for the school’s inaction after at least six Baylor female students reported they were raped or assaulted by BU football players from 2009 through April 3, 2016…
A source close to Starr said he might not go quietly if terminated. [Emphasis added.]

Well, at least these days there are myriad resources that help to expose such affairs and bring them to the surface. Back in the day, unless Walter Cronkite was on the case, most likely you’d never hear about it.
As both my dad and granddad used to tell me — if you think the world is corrupt and otherwise evil today, you should have been around back in their younger days. Heck, even the so-called halcyon days of the 50’s in the U.S. were anything but.

except that news papers are still really the only organization with the resources to go after stories like this. There isnt a myriad of resources that work these stories.
And we have college football fans lauding the decrease in transparency around their schools, they rejoice at the idea of making the job tougher on reporters.

Not really. Yahoo sports broke the Miami/Shapiro scandal — not the Miami Herald (for ex.) based right there in town. Other local and national new digital media types have unearthed countless improprieties in recent years, all under the presumed close eye of the local media/newspapers. Sadly, as newspapers continue to lose money, they continue to shred investigative or similar such jobs that in previous years would be available.
Did you see or are you familiar with the movie Spotlight? Spotlight was the name of the Boston Globe investigative team that uncovered the mass sex abuse scandal within the Catholic church back in the early ’00’s. Several former spotlight investigators said that, if the scandal had happened today, they wouldn’t have had the resources/personnel to uncover it, as the drastic cuts in recent years have severely hampered their overall operations.

Drudge Report really started the paradigm shift back in the 90’s with the breaking of the Clinton/Lewinski scandal. At the time, absolutely nobody gave any credence to DR, as they were a relative unknown at the time; a far cry, from, say, WaPo, NYT, USA Today, etc.

How in the hell can both of them not be tossed out on their ear? Bradley, Schultz, and, more importantly, the AUC editorial board would crucify Morehead and Kirby daily in the paper if this were happening in Athens (and, by the way, rightfully so).
Art Briles makes Jimbo Fisher look like a disciplinarian, and, regardless of your politics, Ken Starr is an absolute buffoon.

But Baylor’s just a private little school, and they’ve got to do what they’ve got to do to compete with the Texas’s of the world. And apparently, there’s no ceiling as to what they thought they had to do (and could do).

Yep, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is much more moderate in their beliefs than the SBC. That’s who Baylor’s divinity school aligns itself with.

If anything in this world is right, he should be terminated from his contract immediately with zero compensation. Please tell me there is a clause in his contract that protects the university making his termination without pay a legal course of action.

Really pretty sad how Baylor, a so called “Christian” University has treated its students in this situation. All involved should be banished from working on a University Campus ever again. Or a school of any kind for that matter.
Sort of like the guys with the “fish” on their vehicles, usually they deserve the most scrutiny in dealings of any kind.

What do we know about Ken Starr? He combines a gift for discerning every ounce of leverage at his disposal and for lacking any discretion at all in his use of it.
