Hard to believe this movie is 30 years old this week, but it is.

“He’s a righteous dude”
David Lynch would like to have a word, Senator.
Love that clip. Wonderfully creepy.
Great movie, saw it last night at the Fox.
That’s great! FBDO is fun.
When it first came out it was just fun. I had never been to Chicago at the time. When I went I realized what total Chamber of Commerce plug it was for the city. Well, the north side, anyway.
I think we’re all missing the big picture here,
I’ve always been concerned that so many people are happy to sing about shakin a baby….that’s child abuse … ,”Shakin a baby, twist and shout”. really that is disgusting .I don’t care if it does have a good beat and you can dance to it. I for one can not condone this popularization of child abuse….this must stop ,I therefore propose that the song “Shakin a Baby ” be banned and anyone who disagrees with me needs to stay off my lawn.
Dylan, almost all John Hughes movies were odes to his home town…. Chicago. Maybe not loving odes but relating to his Chicago adolescence..
