Transferring from Alabama — it’s what you do, even if you were once a highly regarded recruit.
Meanwhile, the Process abides.

So to boil it down to one short statement: Alabama has an effective response for typical attrition – they recruit well.
College players across the nation switch schools in similar fashion and similar numbers. This could be an interesting article if we discovered something like the players were being pushed out by Saban or Pruitt. Or if they were leaving because Smart or Tucker left. Or if it was a discipline issue. Did saban over-promise when they committed? Are there 90 players for 85 slots? We don’t know because the writer apparently didn’t bother to check. “We, of course, don’t know what went into Burgess-Becker’s decision to leave.” The writer might get a quote if he bothered to contact one of the players. Sports journalism at its laziest.
It’s a risk an athlete takes when he decides to join a team with a bunch of 5*****. Playing time maybe more difficult to get.
