Last 10 years, not ranked at seasons end 3 times. The other 7 average out to 13.43….so no top 10 ranking average..not even close…

Read that he does not have a vote in this poll. And this is the least significant poll of all. Surprised the media even gives it coverage, well, scratch that, nothing about the media in this country can be very surprising. Only 3 Secw Teams have winning records against the SECE. And what surprise that 3 SECE teams have winning records against the west. Good part of that due to Ga and Fla dominating that division last 15 years. Excepting Bama of course who no one can touch.

Why is Florida 10-4 at 25, and Georgia is 10-3 at 16? would 10-4 not indicate a playoff berth?

Sports Writers are not known for thinking through these polls. Last year they picked AU to win the West and Bama to win the NC IIRC.

Bama has won the National Title recently without winning the SEC. So that prediction wasn’t all that far fetched.

I really, really, really hate to say this. But Georgia is often over-ranked in preseason polls. This, based on where we start versus where we end up. I think we’ll end the season around #20 if we win our bowl. Unranked if we don’t.
