Since he was nice enough to ask…

I figure I’d take Kirby up on his invitation to see today’s open practice.  Leaving in a few minutes for the Classic City.

I’ll report back tomorrow if there’s anything worth reporting back about.

  1. Let us know how the hedges are doing in this blistering heat. Priorities are priorities. (They are practicing in the stadium, right?)

  2. Uglydawg

Maybe Bluto will furnish some Dawg porn this evening or tomorrow!

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on comparing the quarterbacks. I would love to be able to see “in person” how the ball flies from each of their arms

Nice, excited to hear your thoughts. I trust it you’re taking the Cayman?

Guess the invite was for politicians only, but will be having a beer downtown today also.

  6. John Denver is full of shit...

Seen’t #10 today. He looked bonafide.

But so did the others, especially the walk on QB #2.

John .. Good comment on #2. He can toss the rock too.

That’s Sam Vaughn from Ft. Pierce, FL. He brings a lot of intangible things to the table, too. Like being captain of both the HS baseball and football teams, Treasure Coast Offensive Player of the Year his senior year, All-State in Florida 2 years in a row, his team won district titles all 4 years he played, a 4.0 HS average, elected class president all 4 years of HS, a natural leader, etc. Oh, and he is a track guy and won the state title in the 400 yard dash–when was the last time a passing QB did that? Vaughn came to Georgia because his dad is a UGA alum. If Eason hadn’t signed with the Dawgs Vaughn was my pick to be the starter either this season or next. He still may be.

  7. Bright Idea

Not much open space for receivers and timing between QBs and receivers not great. #3 on defense Roquan Smith looked good. McKenzie was the highlight on offense. Most of practice was drill oriented.

Chubb looked normal but I think the sleepers on the team are Holyfield and Nauta. Holyfield is bigger than thought and Nauta is a complete monster.

  9. Senator, how long did it take to get to Athens in your new car? About 30 minutes?

    • Dylan Dreyer's Booty

If he tried that he probably had to make a pit stop in Jefferson/Arcade. Once went to UGA games with a guy who drove from Toronto (he was a car dealer there) to come to the games. Left Friday about noon and drove straight through. Got about 3-4 hours sleep, and made the 1 PM kickoff we always used to have. Noon games probably keep him away these days.

  10. What else did you guys see? This is good stuff…

    How was Ludacris ?
