Don’t get even. Get mad.

Pat Dye says Auburn’s coaches didn’t like each other last year.  But that’s all in the past now.

Meanwhile, Kirk Herbstreit says the key to Auburn’s success this season will be that the defense is pissed off.

I’m really looking forward to the coming soap opera on the Plains.

  1. How many predictions has Pretty Boy Herbie gotten right over his career at WWL?

It’s going to be interesting to watch what happens if Clemson curb-stomps them and they have 3 losses before the calendar turns to October. I don’t think Gus and Kristi will be making many trips to the Auburn Waffle House.

Herbs has been an on air voice for 5 years too long and it’s a significant reason game day has gone to shit. He’s been making judgement calls, evaluations for so many years and every one of them influences his new opinions, it’s impossible to gauge his credibility anymore, out of touch and full of shit. AU defense may be pissed but it won’t last more than 15 minutes once the game clock starts counting down. Hardly a season maker….

Herbie likes too many coaches and, thus, believes they can’t fail. He doesn’t put enough stock into the idea that a team might just not have good enough players.

Deploying talent is really important, but you have to have the talent. I’m not sure Auburn HAS the talent. Quick, besides the QBs, which you only know because of the QB competition, name 3 offensive players for Auburn.

Talked to some die hard auburn friends. They are saying that Gus has to win 8 to keep his job. Ain’t happening.

You know the continuous flush stainless steel trough urinal at the stadium? It never stops making noise. It stinks, the area is sticky, splash stains all around, drunks leaning against back wall…That’s the unsanitary equivalent of Auburn….on a good day.

As long as Rodney Garner is on the staff, it will never be in the past.

Yep. Rodney is the reason defensive staffs don’t get along. He was re- energized when he first got to the plains, but just like here he has gotten passed over twice now for DC job. This makes him a perpetual turd in the punch bowl.

The flat liners at the cow pasture will ask for the keys to the BMW recruiting machine next year……till then enjoy the ride as the dual mascot asswipes continue their downward spiral known “as the plains burn”.

I don’t blame them for being pissed off. Fornette ran right through them and didn’t even say hello or goodbye on his way to the end zone. Where’s the love?

  12. I have a buddy who is a national recruiting analyst and he said that Garner is a crook and warned me years ago that he would get UGA in trouble. After he left he said that he would fit in perfect at the Barn and he was stunned that Richt allowed him to stay on the staff for so long.
