“I’m just going to come in, put it the work and get the respect from my teammates and help them do anything I can do to help the team win.” — Tykee Smith, UGASports.com, 4/4/21
It’s hard to appreciate a recovery period for an injury, especially one like Chubb’s. It would seem, if ongoing data didn’t tell you otherwise, that 10 months is plenty of time to recover from a surgery. That’s a long time. However, I’m guessing 99 out of 100 people with that injury would require well over a year to get back to near normal. Nick is amazing.

I didn’t realize the knee was actually completely dislocated.

The Nick Chubbs of this world don’t come along too often and I’m not just talking about physically.

Exactly. Someone earlier said 99 out of 100 couldn’t make the recovery he’s made. I’d like to hear from someone with medical experience, but I would guess it’s closer 9,999 out 10,000 or some ridiculously high number. And even if you can physically do what you used to be able to do, being able to mentally block it and do what he did this past Saturday is amazing. There really are no adequate words. And I agree that Ron Courson’s name should be mentioned in every recruits living room.

Yeah, and we were all secretly thinking Nick was different, and he is. Totally amazing guy.

The Sports Medicine program of the Dawgs should be part of recruiting.

I bet Lattimore would have liked to have done his rehab at HIS. I hope some NFL team does not come after Courson.
