It’s only Tuesday, but it’s gonna be hard to top this one.
“I think we may have gotten a little relaxed last week,” senior center Brandon Kublanow said during the Bulldogs’ weekly news conference Monday.
Oh, you don’t really have to think about that one, Brandon. At least not hard.
The score and the turnover caused the team to relax? I don’t get that because that’s the time to double down and raise the intensity to knock a team out early.
There wasn’t much emotion before the game started, and certainly the offense’s failure to capitalize on that turnover pretty much let the rest of the air out of the stadium.
Old habits die hard …

ee… good points. But let’s give Brandon an “Atta boy”! for honesty.

How bout we go back to not hearing from the players. I would be happy with that.

I figured it out.
It has nothing to do with “mental toughness” or being able to “take everyone seriously”. Its about the blood lust to want to absolutely destroy every team, every man in front if you, all the time.
I can’t think of any time I’ve ever been “relaxed” at the same time I’m thinking about beating someone’s ass.
Everything else is just strategy and play calling.

Also, space is big and losing Saturday might have been a little embarrassing.
I’m glad we won, but I would have been real interested to see how quickly the knuckle draggers would have started firekirbysmart.com if we had lost.

Honestly, how many of us feel good about Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, and Tech right now? I don’t even feel good about Mizzou at night on the road. And nobody has talked about that game at all (this week or before now).

I think that is also what the starting center for Michigan said in 2007 when Appalachian State won by 2 in front of 110,000 fans. BTW, Michigan lost 4 games that year.
