Today, in I’ll bet you didn’t know…

Care to guess which SEC offense has cracked the 500-yard mark more than any other in the past three seasons?  I bet you won’t get it on the first try.

Say what you will, but when it comes to offense, Dan Mullen can coach a little.

  1. No. I’ve heard that he’s friends with McGarity. Therefore he must be a Cousin Eddie lookalike mouth breathing simpleton.

The SEC offenses (several) need a makeover. It took SOS to introduce the forward pass in the early 90s, but the myriad of spread/dual threat QB has been slower to catch up. Two steps forward and one back makes for slow progress. I am betting Saban’s adoption of dual threat will open the gates wider. Several teams have waded into the water, some in and out quickly, some with variations, but the growth of the concept in HS is inevitably going to make it the way for even traditional schools.

I agree with this. More and more, a mobile quarterback looks like the norm and not the exception. Will UGA at some point adapt? It’s harder and harder to find top schools that haven’t.

Erm, but, the entire SEC West plays each other every year.

So does this mean they have great offense or crappy defense?

Dak has won seven in a row for the Cowboys.
