Just a note. TT was out most of the Kentucky game with an injury. Have to wonder if UK rushes that much if he and Rochester were in. They had to double Rochester…

Trent will be in Athens for one more season. Kirby has a long row to hoe trying to improve the program with the hole that Richt left him in. There is no prospect of replacing Trent. The highly rated kid from the state of Georgia leaving for Michigan. There would have to be some sign of a much better OL for next season for any hope of competing for SEC. I assume that Galliard will be looked at to replace Kublanow, That leaves three spots to fill plus the undersized Wynn. At LEAST two years out for major improvement for program.

Think of the hole Shula left Saban at Bammer#! 4′ .500 seasons and Saban managed to go 12-0 regular season his 2nd year. Hell the Preacher won the SEC in year 2. We’re good.

I don’t get in the weeds about recruiting but didn’t that kid decommit from Michigan and now we are in the mix?
If Kirby can recruit to his reputation, good chance we have some real bad dudes on that line fairly soon.

I disagree on the Oline. Cleveland is redshirting and will be a beast on the line. Plus the recruits coming in will be better players than what we have now. At least they won’t be under-sized…just inexperienced. I think the biggest change in recruiting that we’ll see from CKS is the LOS. he’s made a big emphasis on improving the lines and it shows in the commitments.

I dont expect cleveland to be very good for a while.

Didnt he end his HS career Hurt then playing DL. When was the last time he actually played OL in a competitive game against real competition?

Remind me who recruited Atkins, Barnett, Bellamy, Carter, Hawkins, Rochester, Thompson, Young, all playing on Dline or OLB. Do not see much of a hole in this group that you speak of.

First off, in Richt’s second year he had names like Jon Stinchcomb, George Foster, Dan Inman, and Max Jean-Gilles on the OL, and Kedrick Golston, Darius Swain, and David Pollack on the D side. Not much of a comparison to today’s roster. As far as the DL prospect, it sounds like his mother is doing everything she can to make Michigan conform to her son’s needs so he can re commit. There is some time, but the Dawgs have not come out on top of these recruiting battles of late.

Dude you must not have good information. Solomon will be in Athens along with Devote Wyatt. You have no idea what you are talking about. Trent is there, along with Rochester, Marshall, Tyler Clark, Daquan, Michail Carter, Ledbetter, Atkins, Justin Young…..DL isn’t going to be the issue in the future and it’s not now.

You are reading different INFO than me…UGA will be second only to Alabama in the SEC in recruiting..we are headed in the right direction.

I agree. Kirby might actually improve the recruiting, but not sure that going from 3rd to 2nd is that big of a deal. We are basically just fractions of a point behind Auburn for 2nd in the SEC in recruiting right now.

Is signing 1 slightly better player per year really that much of an improvement?

Not much, but can’t hurt and more importantly CKS will have as much depth as bending the rules will allow. That’s going to be necessary to break through to the next level again.

Is Thompson gonna be able to play Saturday? (Which seems to only rational response to the post.)
