This is such a great picture.

Hines Ward’s entire face lights up when he smiles.

He should be an entry in the thesaurus under “go”.

He should be under “tough”.
He played the way you’re supposed to play – mean.

By definition, any picture of Hines Ward on the field at Sanford is a great picture. IMHO.

“Come coach receivers?!”

Yes, please! Lack of production from receivers combined with continued shortfall in recruiting top WRs should make this hire an obvious one for KS. We have a highly touted QB with another coming in (fingers crossed) in January, Hines Ward would be a feather in our cap on the recruiting trail. His popularity and relevance will only last a short time, now is the time to strike. We need offensive help, and we need it immediately, I think we need to go higher up the offensive coaching tree but at the very least adding HW seems like a move that needs to be made after the GT game.

Well, there is talk of adding a 10th assistant coach to FBS teams in the next year or two. The question is how would Kirby use it. Dedicated Special Teams coach? Dedicated kicking coach? 5th Defensive Assistant? Separate inside / outside receivers coach? Two OL coaches (G+C and T)?

Can you imagine how our WRs would block with Hines teaching them? The catching, too, but if Kirby wants receivers that block, he should hire Hines.

In 1997, Kirby, Hines, Champ, and the boys went into the Auburn game with only 1 loss, ranked in the top 10. And Auburn shut us down and blew us out (on one of the coldest days I can remember in Sanford). Good to see them get a little revenge last night.

I heard on radio that was his first time back in 20 years- hard to believe he hasn’t been back.
Champ lives in ATL now so we should be seeing more of him.

Gotta get him on the staff.
