Good grief.
This is Georgia, so you know there are consequences, even if events didn’t occur at Georgia.
That’s a relief. I worried McGarity might volunteer a four-game suspension of Nick Chubb next season to atone for Virginia Tech’s sins.
Good grief.

Georgia has fined Shane Beamer $25,000 for his role in #WakeyLeaks.

Are we going to send the money to Wake Forest or just put it in the reserve fund. Hell Mc Frugal might see this as another way to get more money. Think he can fine the players out of their stipends??

Surely you jest.

Can we make Beamer go back to VT? Please?

I agree with Russ – If we match Beamer’s $25,000, will he leave UGA and go coach somewhere else?

McG should have just offered to vacate all wins where the victory was a direct result of play by Coach Beamer’s special teams.

Outstanding. Good thing there wasn’t coffee in my mouth.

On the plus side, I love the ‘WakeyLeaks’ moniker. A couple years ago it would have been Wakergate, and that shit was old in the 90s.

Da, it’s all horrowshow.

This year’s special teams were a wankergate. Wankerleaks just doesn’t work.

What a plug to not have to pay Beamer his liberty bowl bonus, with the raise he got from his last job he didn’t need it anyway.

WTF? At UGA your salary can be affected by what happened at previous employers?

So Shane Beamer, individually, has to pay the same amount in fines that VT and Louisville paid.
The Georgia Way, indeed….

I like it. Special teams suck. Bank it aside when/if daddy’s boy doesn’t have the special team stones innovation his old man did.

Shane, I like you. Just remember something. A man stares into the abyss and there’s nothing staring back at him. At that moment man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss.

You have got to be kidding me about the fine. That’s so McG.

Not only that, Greg’s going to have his receptionist type a letter of reprimand, place it in Shane’s file, and – thanks to Kirby’s pre-season lobbying efforts – be able to wait 90 days before saying the reprimand letter is double super-secret and does not have to be disclosed

As punishment, Georgia will be required to select a backup position player to do its punting, to skykick® its kickoffs, and be forbidden to block or field an opponent’s rugby punt.

He should be fined for the horrible special teams play at UGA all season long…it was absolutely disgusting.

He wasn’t fined for cheating. He was fined because he cheated and his coaching still sucked.

As if being the only ACC coaching staff to lose to that awful Wake team wasn’t punishment enough.

This is sooo Georgia. They are going to deduct the 25K, over time, from Shane Beamer’s salary. That means he keeps his job, likely until the fine is paid off. The guy needs to go–now. So instead of firing a bad coach BM is keeping him around so they can punish him. Just more Georgia Way. I agree with Ericdawg. Fire McStupid ASAP.
