I see what you did, Senator. Subliminally, you are putting out there that after 5 or 6 years, our former coach will want to return to the school where he had his greatest success. Coincidentally, said school will consider him because they haven’t had the success they expected after firing him.
I would be OK if I never heard what “the definition of insanity” is again for the rest of my life after the deluge of posts on UGA message boards rehashing it over and over again over the last 18 months..
In fairness, Edsall was a perfect fit at UConn, and as the linked article indicates, he led them to the greatest period of success in their program’s relatively short D-I/FBS history. I think they may feel the way a lot of Ole Miss people did a few years after firing Cutcliffe (i.e., seller’s remorse).
For Edsall to return there would make a great deal of sense, in my view.
Randy Edsall wasn’t fired from UConn. He left for the Maryland job as he grew up a Maryland fan, going to games with his father. UConn fans were not happy to see him leave. UConn isn’t hope for different results. Nothing about the headline makes sense.

It could be worse. UConn could choose Charley Weis.
