Bielema won a few B1G titles and Freeze won a Sun Belt title. Booch has won 2 MAC and 2 Big East titles.

Only 2 have won the SEC though.

None from SEC East. Wow – That’s quite the reality check.

Two SEC championships, an attorney general and a love-struck governor…whoa Alabama.

    • Dabo, Saban, Urban, Jimbo, and Stoops. Saban and Urban have titles at multiple schools. I can’t remember if Larry Coker is still coaching or not; last I remember he was at UTSA.

Larry resigned in January 2016. It is sad that only 5 guys have won a title, and three of them only have 1 each. The other two have a combined 8.

          Glass half full: We’re due!

Glass half empty: We fired a guy with multiple SEC titles in a belief that it’s easy to accomplish with the right coach, but we didn’t try to hire a guy who has already done it.

That’s an amazing stat. I don’t think most CFB fans have a clue about that.

        • Saban’s legacy is going to be that he either drove complete innovation or he ruined the sport by causing so many people to try to replicate what he’s done. I’m thinking it’s a healthy mix of the two given the hires throughout the SEC East from his coaching tree, but it’s undeniable the impact he’s had with the way opposing schools such as Clemson and Ohio State have responded to that monster he’s built.

Does it count if they won as assistant? That would add Kirby, Muschump and McElwain. Oregeon, as many schools as he has been at I am sure he was part of a staff that won one but am to lazy to look it up?
