Eh, but who’s counting?

I’m not sure if it qualifies as bulletin board material, but the South Carolina Department of Transportation is installing two more highway signs celebrating the Gamecocks’ national championship in women’s basketball than it did for Clemson’s football natty.

Then again, maybe that’s their way of saying South Carolina’s a basketball state now.

I wish the Georgia department of Transportation had a reason to put up some similar signs around Athens.

  3. Clemson has been to the last two National Title games and won one of them. Why in the world does any South Carolina player think it would be even remotely intelligent to try and act as if their school is anywhere near Clemson.

    I mean….anywhere near

When you’re headed toward Columbia on I-20, after you cross the river, you see a sign that says “Caution. Gravel on the road surface.” The problem is, the gravel IS the road surface. Maybe SC should spend more on road maintenance and less on signs.

Its a title IX compliance issue. “Promoting” women’s sports is part of the compliance requirement. If there isn’t sufficient publicity/attention paid by the administration when women’s sports win its a negative factor if there was ever a title IX compliance issue.
