Seth Emerson catches a position change on Georgia’s official online roster.
Among other things, I guess that’s an indication they’re pretty happy with the depth at cornerback, or at least happier there than they are at receiver.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
People keep worrying about him getting “Tripped,” but I think Malcolm Mitchell is a much (almost exact) better comparison. Who knows if he turns out to be as good as Mitchell was, but by all accounts, at all levels, he is in fact just a plain ole gamer no matter where he is on the field.
Again, who knows if he turns out like Mitchell, but he does seem to have a very similar skill set: average receiver height, speedy with return potential, and tough enough to play D. Wouldn’t be surprised if that toughness translates into, like Mitchell, being able to block a good deal above his weight class.

At the Houston gathering, Kirby basically said Hardeman was at receiver. But then he took a shot at the papers and said maybe he didn’t want everyone to know that.

Next thing you know he’ll tweet it was fake news.

Russ, how was the Houston get together, and where did they have it?

It was pretty nice. It was in the Galleria area at some country club I’m not a member of. Good attendance, Rodney Hampton was there in the crowd. I was talking to one lady that I guess used to be a Lady Dog BB player when Fox’s wife just basically cut right in and started talking to her like I wasn’t even there. Rude as shit. Kirby was good and seemed optimistic about the team. He did rag on the press (sounded a little paranoid in my opinion) and said that last year we had no senior leadership, which caused problems. Felt like this year we would be better. Fox got zero questions about basketball (sort of embarrassing) so he just talked a little about JJ and then said he just heard Yante was coming back. The Prez gave a good overview of things on campus. McGarity told us how great everything was. And each of them said it would be so much better if we’d just stroke them a check.
All in all, it was okay, but McGarity just pisses me off, so he sort of ruined it for me. And Fox’s wife is rude.

And he’s fast enough to run on the Georgia 4 x 100 relay in the SEC track meet

This being UGA the obvious question is whether he can block. Being a receiving threat, particularly a down field one, seems to be an afterthought.
