Life comes at you fast, Fox.

Damn, it seems like I just posted this and two things drop out of the blue today.

I doubt they’re related, but I wish they were.  What in the wide, wide world of sports is going on at Fox?

  1. Have you actually gone and looked at the Fox Sports website since the change? It’s absolutely useless. I can’t think of any reason I would ever want to visit it again under that format. I’m guessing traffic has plummeted the past few days.

I’m just not understanding the value they and ESPN are placing on video content over articles, but I’m over 40 and clearly not their target audience.

    • Yep, I’m one of those that gets mad when I click on a link that looks interesting, but then it goes straight to a video with no accompanying article. I like articles because I can skim them and decide if it’s something I actually want to read line by line. When it just goes straight to a video, I close it out. Then I scream at the kids to stay off my lawn. 😉

I am with you Rev, I shut it straight down if there is no story to read. Not going through an ad or listening to a talking head. Wish they were marked as video only.

Millennials didn’t watch School House Rock on Saturdays growing up and thus have trouble with any information that can’t be received via a pair of earbuds and a mobile device.

The attention span of a goldfish is documented as 9 seconds. Millennials run at 8 seconds.

I am sure this is a problem strictly limited to millenials and no other generations have been heavily affected by technology.

    Nice touch Bluto.

FWIW Horowitz was fired in part due to a sexual harassment probe. Nonetheless, dumpster fire conditions for FOX

I was looking forward to Bruce Feldman joining SI to write on College football….until I saw his latest on the 40 biggest freaks (athletic) in College Football…and no Nick Chubb. Glowing reports on verticals, squats, power lifts and other figures that are LOWER than Chubb posted in High School.
