A Gator house divided against itself…

Boy, this sounds awkward.

Spectrum Sports has learned that a Florida Gators player implicated running back Jordan Scarlett and wide receiver Rick Wells into an ongoing investigation of a misuse of school issued funds.

According to a source, the Gators player named both Scarlett and Wells to the University of Florida Police Department.

I bet that’s one fun, relaxed locker room this week.

Was it one of the players that had already been suspended in the initial report, or someone from outside that group? Either way it may cause hostility but not unusual with part of a group giving up others when caught, I would say that is more the norm as an investigation proceeds.

    • It’s unfortunate that wasn’t the norm in the 2007 shooting Aaron Hernandez and three of his teammates were involved in. Of course, Corch covering up the numerous misdeeds only exacerbated the problem. More “giving up others” is sorely needed. Or, hell just don’t do the shit.

Yeah, not 100% true (see Mafia, or gangs/cartels), but it often depends on how they are interrogated and if they had a deal on the table.

So let me get this straight – you can get high enough NOT to have allegedly commit rape but you “misuse school issued funds” then and only then are you not allowed to play for the turds. Got it.

Well it looks like Trump ain’t the only one trying to drain the swamp. UM is going to kill them and then we get to listen to ESPN talk about how weak the SEC East is for another month.

From what I gather, there are more players to be implicated in this, and UF will not play them because there is a question of improper benefits and they are waiting for some clarification from the NCAA. I don’t know how accurate that is. IIRC, when we had the players get in trouble for the check scam, we reported it to the NCAA and they deemed the game suspensions and restitution sufficient. Our athletic department also had the players arrested and go through the legal system. Has the UFPD actually arrested any of the players involved?

Wasn’t it Booch at UT who went off on players snitching on teammates?
