If there’s one thing I feel pretty confident predicting about tomorrow’s game…
Swift should see the field plenty against Samford on Saturday night. The coaches will need Chubb fresh for the upcoming SEC gauntlet, and Michel is dealing with a minor ankle injury. The physical-running Swift will have the chance to inflict damage on a smaller Samford defense.
… it’s that we’re going to see plenty of D’Andre Swift.
I hope 90,000 are there to see it because this team deserves our support. If we can have 93,000 show up for a scrimmage, we should be able to fill the place up for a cupcake.

I agree with you, but judging by all the tickets being waved around FB, I suspect we’ll be lucky to see 75k there.

Winning, and playing at night gives us a good chance to see a full house. Loves me some night football, place should be rocking.
Along with Swift, time to feel Herrien and Holyfield as well. Our depth at RB is incredible, and it was just a few years ago that we got down to our 6th and 7th level at that position. Keep them all happy, let them romp every chance we get. Nothing for Nick or Sony to gain here.

Swift been a pleasant surprise, considering the competition he faced in HS. Also has bulked up to college muscle to be a physical RB.

I imagine we’ll see a lot of Mecole Hardman, too. That Jet Sweep seems to be working out.

Chaney starts the night with Godwin out of the wild Dawg…then spends the night airing it out to “familiarize” Fromm with the 18 different passing formations…goes 28-37 for 287 and no passes to the TEs. Chubb gets 47 on 9 carries. Swift has 38 on 13 direct snaps with his longest being 4 yards.
I believe Chaney will find a way.

I’m curious if we’ll finally get an extended look at Elijah Holyfield tomorrow, too. Next year’s projected backfield of Swift, Herrien, and Holyfield should be pretty good (if nobody transfers and if Holyfield starts to live up to his billing).

And you are forgetting Zeus as a part of that backfield? Better recalculate, make room for that stud.

Might need Swift against Miss State too?

I predict we’re going to see another meeting of Chubb, Michel and Chaney in a couple weeks if our two senior RBs aren’t getting many carries. What would impress me more than “big plays” is the O putting points on the board consistently.

I can only hope there’s a meeting between Smart and Chaney at the end of the year to say thanks for helping me get my o-line coach and now move along.

Chaney likes pie way too much.

I bet Chaney eats with the linemen but he don’t work out with em…

Our offense is in need of quite a lot of improvement before the Miss state game. I will be very concerned if we run for less than 350 yds against Samford.
