Groo asks the musical question, “Was 3rd-and-Grantham really a thing?”
But you knew that.
The question now is whether it still is.

Man, if 3rd and Kirby enters the lexicon, we’re in trouble!
The funny thing is that toward the end of that clip, when they’re showing a replay of the reception from ground level, one of the secondary guys is holding his palms up in confusion, like “What, what?” Just lost. Lord knows we saw a whole lot of that during the Grantham years. I’d just as soon never see it again.
If we see it a few times tonight that will be okay. Looking at Grantham with palms up I mean.
If I’m not mistaken, the player holding his arms up would be one Mr. Shaq Wiggins.
…wondering why is personality isn’t being embraced.
HA! Well done 202
Oh, I want to see it again–tonight. Multiple times. From Grantham’s new charges. BTW I never liked that guy.
What really stands out to me is that most of our defensive players on that team wouldn’t have been recruited by Kirby. Not saying those guys werent 4 star high school players, but we have going after different looking dudes these days.
I can’t believe you asked if 3rd and Grantham is really a thing. I read his posts daily!

Post of the year. You sir deserve a nice bottle of Whistle Pig.
Unless Chaney decides to use the play makers he has at his disposal this week. CTG may look better than he did at the Belk Bowl. Could be a nail biter in a game we should win by double digits. But I would not credit that to Grantham as much as a Chaney fail. We are a much better offensive group than LSU.
That’s really the only thing that scares me about this game–Chaney is our OC. If we had Bobo back it wouldn’t even be a contest.
Never thought I’d read this on a Georgia site.
Dude, I could have told you that.
So could Tray Matthews and Auburn
That was 4th and Grantham (or Lakatos) 😉
During the last half of CMR’s tenure the end of game defensive epic failure causing the game to be lost became a common thing. Remember 2013 Auburn? 2005 Auburn too. Others as well. CMR was ultimately responsible as HC but in reality it was Willie and Grantham who were the culprits. The irony is that when CMR finally fixed the problem with the Pruitt hire was when he got fired.
That is some shitty ass football.
"What an incredible turnout. It felt like a home game when you looked up in the stands and saw all the red. I expected it to be that way but maybe not as much as it was." -- Kirby Smart, Dawgs247.com, 11/27/21
