Mr. Conventional Wisdom tackles Booch’s fate.

Every week I think I see the quintessential Tony Barnhart pearl on Twitter…

… and every week I’m right.

The kind of hard-hitting journalism we’ve come to expect from him.

I like Tony… as I said… but I never said I would pay to hear what he had to say.

C’mon, let’s be fair. You just need to interpret what he’s saying. First…Booch lost by 41 points. You should know that’s a lot. As the coach of the Vols, he has a sad. So, to find his happy place, a lot of really nice things need to happen. Given everything going on in the world, this may be hard for Booch to do. Thus, this is a complicated situation. See? Tony really helps us through the finer points of analysis that a lot of fans can’t grasp on their own. Graciously, his help is available for $9.99 per month. Signup now!

I personally enjoy Barnhart and his overall perspective. His recent articles have been quite riveting IMO. These include: “Bama is on a roll – will they continue to win?” “Ole Miss is struggling – sanctions might be to blame.” and, “The SEC is still the most amazing conference ever, led by the paragon of virtue, Greg Sankey.”

Great website as well; I like the late 90’s throwback graphics. I’m curious if they used a Windows ’95 computer to pull it all together. Very neat.

Someone should tell tony that there are at least two free blog sites that cover and prognosticate well beyond the traditional media.

His Pulitzer-winning work has never been surpassed: “Georgia Fans Want to Win a Championship”; “Alabama Emphasizes Blocking and Tackling”; and of course, who could forget the eye-opening “Lane Kiffin Left Vol Fans Unhappy.” I always think I know this game until I read Barnhart and get a brand new education. He gazes deep into the obvious and pulls out the most obvious of all. A modern master.

He’s likely referring to Booch’s 9 gazillion dollar buyout.

Maybe Butch can buy us all a subscription after he gets his buyout. His show was a sad riot to watch tonight. It was reminiscent of the Charley Pell Show the day after we laid a 44-0 beating on the Gators. Even Charley didn’t have highlights from other games that day. Schadenfreude: it’s what’s for dinner! And, it’s DELICIOUS!

Did he give Pell credit for bringing the forward pass to the SEC? Oh, reckon he wasn’t in the business at that time.

Tony Barnhart is the journalistic equivalent of our parents and grandparents who discovered social media within the last three years.

How is the decision not simple? You take a risk, it may not pay off; and it is expensive. Make the call (but check with Haslem first.)

If his future was truly in jeopardy last week before the Dawgs rolled in, this should have been a slam dunk and handled last night. Let’s lay it out, 1) you keep him and stop whining, 2) you make the decision now because you have a bye week and can get your interim in place before SC comes rolling in, or 3) you wait until the end of December and save few million in buyout money. And all of them will hurt your recruiting, you’re just screwed there for the 2018 class, all of whom is looking around this week for better options.

Barnhart doesn’t bother me but the stuff about him here is usually pretty funny.

Then you didn’t watch him when he was on TV, Amirite? You missed his practiced attempt at a stentorian voice that was to make you a believer in his words.
