Mark Richt has lost control of his won-loss record.

Things went worse in his last game than we thought.

Well, Jim Donnan will be the first to tell you that you can’t keep losing to Georgia Tech.

Guess that’s the opposite of ‘Dawgrading’.

To make matters worse, the author is a UGA grad. Damn, he really must have wanted CMR gone.

Yeah, the administration yearned for more, just didn’t want to pay for it!

Maybe a little off-topic, but I’m waiting to see if Miami face-plants against FSU this weekend. I wanted Richt to win big when he was here, and I want him to win big at Miami (unless they’re playing the dawgs), but I just can’t shake the feeling that they’ll have an embarrassing loss to the ‘Noles this weekend in a game everyone expects them to win. Hope I’m wrong.

How about a blocked extra point last year? I was a CMR faithful and fan; but the dude is snakebit.

      • I remember Ray Goff using the term ‘snakebit’ a few times. There is no such thing as – over time- you make your own luck.

Yep, the blocked PAT versus the ‘Noles last year. Or how about Miami losing to a bad Notre Dame team last year? If I remember right, Miami was down for most of the game, stormed back late to take the lead, but couldn’t keep ND out of the endzone on their final drive.

Like I said, I want him to be successful, but there are times when I watch Miami and think “this is why he’s not at UGA anymore.”

That 2015 loss to Tech was hard to take. Affected me personally.

From the Bama game forward, the 2015 season felt like a loss. I know we won 5 games after the Bama debacle, but very few of them felt that way. We beat Mizzou 9-6, went to OT with GSU, and beat Auburn on a punt return. Our offensive explosion was 27 points against a UK defense that was mediocre at best.

I will be very happy when the GEORGIA fan base gets over the firing of CMR and start to hold CKS accountable for what his teams do. I know all the losses last year were onCMR and any loss for the next two years will be on him. Any thing bad that happens to U G A is on him until the last person that he recruited or had any thing to do with at U G A are long gone. I think CKS lost to GT. Vandy last year. But the fan base seems to think CMR was coaching. I have been a Bulldog fan for over 70 years and some of the thing I read on these sites or just amusing and border on hatred for the last Coaching Staff. CKS has beat a ND team that was 4 8 last year they beat a MsSt team that was 6 8 last year that beat a Tn team that is a complete dumpster fire they also beat to cupcake teams. So in the Big Picture what have we really done. Who thinks that we could play with ALA or Clemson and have a shot at winning. We have a solid defense not so much on offense. Just my thoughts and ramblings.

I think because of our D we can compete with both of them. We are believing in ourselves and playing as such. Auburn held Clemson to 14pts. I think we could do the same and our O score as much. Bama is obviously more daunting, but I feel we could keep the game respectable and maybe even steal it if our OL plays their best. Auburn will be no easy task either but they will have the same concerns…their O vs our D.

Please tell me this entire post was sarcasm. The CMR part of it anyway. Dude, you’ve got to be joking.

Well Rambler I’m of the mindset that Richt would have lost to either MSU or UT in spectacular fashion; and most of folks that I know blame last year’s shit show on Kirby and not Richt. I know I sure do. But I do appreciate your loyalty to the team for all these decades maybe we can all celebrate the relief of the drought together one day!

Very few of us if anyone hate Mark Richt. But I know I was sick of him by the time we finally fired him. He should have been let go after the 2010 season. For five more years we sat there on saturdays waiting for the inevitable face plant, and rolling our eyes at all the loyalists who would go on and on about what a good man he is. So forgive is if we are still letting go of 5+ years of frustration.

I’d agree with the fact that our offense hasn’t been truly tested yet, and it’s in my humble opinion that unless Eason gets back to starting and into a rhythm, we’ll have no chance in hell against the likes of Bama or Clemson.

Ah…Good ‘ol Donnan….I remember back in 2000, after the third loss in a row to GT, he was on his Saturday night call-in show fielding calls from angry…well, irate…fans. All of the sudden, between calls, he said something like:
“I don’t know why the fans are so mad….It’s not like this is an SEC opponent.” “This game really doesn’t mean much in terms of getting to the SEC Title Game.”
As soon as he said that, I told my wife, who was also listening and also mad, that he was going to be fired….possibly as soon as the next Monday. Well, I was wrong about that…..He was called to meet Dooley the next morning and fired.

My favorite memory of Donnan was the 2000 UT game. We were at a wedding party for me and my (yes still) wife and I, and I kept slipping out to catch it on 930 AM. It was staticky as Hell but I caught a lot of it. To me this was much better than the hobnail boot. This was vindication! Sorry the video is not the best.

Does any UGA fan truly miss Rtcht now that Smart seems to have the team headed in the right direction? I am pleased at events so far this season but will reserve judgement until the FL game.
