I’m ready to see Stidham & Johnson against some proven competition. They’ve finally found the right mix of players. The guy that got savaged in the Clemson game is no longer starting and one player has already played four positions.

I’m amazed at UGA’s OL. I wonder how well they are doing because of the QB?

But, I’m even more amazed at the defense.

The QB play was the missing piece imo…the straw that stirs the drink. I have not kept up much with Auburn, but I would think the QB play has also made a big difference….the two teams seem to be a lot alike.

Its beginning to feel like a collision course. I know we are supposed to focus one game at a time but you can’t help but feel the drama building. Let the players focus on each game. I’m enjoying dreaming of the possibilities. There are so many ‘replay’ gems already this year. I just keep watching the games over and over. I really don’t want this to end…

That is bonkers. Georgia’s winning with an elite defense, along with a very good running game and very good special teams. Fromm has more or less done what’s been asked of him, but he’s not the key to anything. I doubt Eason would have been either.

QB play is what has been missing? lol.

Defense is flying all over the field, special teams is solid, OL isn’t porous, and a few WRs have stepped up, but all of that hinged on better QB play. Gotcha.

Basically same team as last year, 17 returning starters…most in the SEC. Red zone offense 1st in the country. Last year??…I will let you look that up, you would appreciate it more. PPG has improved dramatically, again…you can look up last year. QBR is about 1.7X better than a year ago. QB does not hold the ball as long, has a higher completion rate…..defenses now have to respect the pass & can’t stack the line as much. Things on ‘O are starting to click, unlike last year. The OL has improved and so has the punting. Team chemistry also seems to be better…batting .1000 is certainly an improvement.

Defense has matured and improved from last year…but they were pretty damn good last year also. The offense being able move and control the ball has helped. Special teams has also improved.

The QB position is the most important position on the field. It is his job to get the ball to the playmakers and lead. The offense has been the most improved side of the ball this year…the QB play has been the missing piece. The offense have not peaked yet imo, I feel as though they will get better. The team is batting .1000……and if I had to pick the biggest reason for improvement (not the only reason), I would say the QB play. Who knows, maybe Eason could do the same….but it looks like Smart is riding the horse that got him to 6 & 0….and I do not blame him.

FWIW I agree with you Greg at least about the improvement with the OL. With Fromm in the game the ball gets thrown FAST. That really helps the OL in pass blocking. He’s really accurate too. The combination of the ball getting out quickly and completions keeps opposing Ds from stacking the box and allows the OL to do its job better.

The MIZZOU game will be a tough one imo, I feel like the line is definitely too high. Drew Lock scares the shat out of me, he can run or pass…underrated QB. Gonna be a lot closer game than most may expect. I hate it that Bellamy has that club hand, we need him 100%

I couldn’t get past the top two spots being Auburn. Nice to see our OL there, though.

Top two spots aren’t AU. It’s an offensive team — who graded highest at every position. Gaillard graded highest by a long shot.

Mizzou also with 2 OL on there.

Defense better be on it this week.

I noted that, too. Don’t know if coaches find any value in pointing stuff like that out, but 2 of us and two of “them” on the OL.

Odd Bama has no one on the list.

Think that just confirms they were off their game Saturday as opposed to aTm doing anything special.

Question. If Auburn beats Alabama, and Uga beats auburn during the regular season ( oh I feel so giddy thinking like this …..nothing to see over here karma)
Do we get Auburn in a rematch for the SEC? Assuming UGA wins out, of course.

That would depend on who wins the Auburn-Texas A&M game, or whether or not Auburn shits the bed against someone else, though LSU seems like the only remote possibility for that.

I’m watching the auburn ole miss replay, looks like aub runs the same offense as us so our defense should be rather familiar…..so would theirs I suppose.
