“It’s a bad deal, man.”

Florida’s lost a starting defensive lineman for the rest of the season.

Missouri was successful probing Georgia’s defense with the long pass, which seems like something the Gators might want to emulate.  One problem with that, though.

I’ll say it again — the way the bye week is starting to play out makes me a little nervous.

I hate to see a kid Injured. Regardless of who they play for. I hope everything works out for him.

I am and always will be worried about Florida. The opposite of when I was younger, born in 67.

Even if something fluky happens against us, I say we have enough to overcome it this year.

The scary thing is that this cocktail game is the only thing the gators are playing for this season. They know only 1 thing and that is they want to beat Georgia to have 1 thing this season to be happy about. I know, the “best shot” thing is tiresome, but this truly is the very definition of “we’re going to get their best shot”. They will prepare every trick play and do everything under the sun to get our team off their game. It’s like playing a tennis match against someone that knows they can’t stroke shots as well as you so they win as many points possible with drop shots.

It won’t matter. Kirby has our minds right. More importantly, he has the players’ minds right. You’ll see our defense in shutdown mode, and our offense will continue to pound them until they quit in the second half. Dawgs win going away.

Normally I would agree, but I think they’ve thrown in the towel already on the season, based on how they looked against TAMU to go with their 3 losses. Sure, they might come out somewhat fired up for the first few minutes, but after that I seem them tapering off quite a bit. Plus, they’ve beaten us the last few years, so they don’t have that animosity right now towards us as they do with FSU.

I don’t know the answer to this question but, do Gator fans view Georgia or FSU as the bigger game? If they have only one game they can win each season who would they choose?

Maybe it is similar to Florida and Tech for us Georgia fans. The team I most want to beat each year is Florida but the team I hate losing to the most is Tech.

UGA, no doubt. That’s not an FSU cupcake that Tebow smashes in the Nissan Heisman House commercial. It plainly says UGA.

Definitely FSU, especially for the younger fans under, say, 40. For older fans, it’s closer to a split with FSU getting the nod. FWIW I lived in Florida for 8 years and traveled all over the state, and worked with a slew of UF fans/alums.

My oldest brother also is a UF grad (unfortunately) and until recently was at Shands in Gville. He and his friends are in their late 40’s and also view FSU as their #1 rivalry.

I’m a rigger, we specialize in medical imaging equipment. I have delivered every x ray and mri system to all the Shands facilities. I hate that place but I also charge them accordingly…

That would be me, 92. I can’t handle the hot serve anymore, but if I can get you to the line on a volley i’ll spin one at the net. Only way to keep up with someone more talented/ gifted. Good analogy.

Sorry, I would have preferred to play with Sherit (Lineman) in there . Did you see his record this year? Does anyone think the replacements will be better or worse for FU’s roster? That’s correct, we have no idea.

This will be similar to a schedule kickoff game in that we won’t know their capabilities very well. ‘Course, we have been practicing for two summers and had scrimmage games as tune ups in comparison.

It is a bad deal, but my religion requires an 11-day wait before expressing sorrow.

Y’all watch the SEC Inside program on SECN this week? It features an inside look at Georgia, including several locker room talks, one from je Missouri half time last week. Kirby is telling the team “make it so they never want to play again.”

I expect more than a few Florida players will want to hang it up by the time the clock hits zero next Saturday.

…oh, and my inner Munson tells me that this only means Franks will morph into some unholy combination of Joe Montana and Steve Young next week.

      • Meh – Florida QB’s have combined for four passing TD’s this year, two of which were because Kentucky forgot to defend a receiver and one on a busted coverage during the final play against Tennessee.

Yes. Before we turn them into reptilian supermen, lets not forget how they managed the win over Kentucky. I still think the Ref hosed Kentucky. However, If you are allowed to have eleven players on the field, you should have eleven players on the field. Especially on defense in the red zone.

          • The best (worst?) part of that last TD for Florida…Kentucky called a timeout before the play and still managed to get only 10 players on the field. Mind-boggling.

While we are naively posting as to our upcoming victory (no one wanted to see those words), FU is working diligently to get their self-blocking plays back into their repertoire.

I think we catch UF looking ahead to their game @Missouri after us and we whip them good! 🙂

Watched Mizzou replay last night and was really surprised to see how chippy they were as some mentioned yesterday. I expect gators to take a ton of cheap shots as has been their MO in the past. Wonder if refs will protect Fromm and Chubb or “let ’em play”.
