It’s bad, you know.

Georgia, on the Cocktail Party:  “Man, is there a more soul-numbing series than this one’s been?”

Tennessee, on the Third Saturday in October:  “Hold our beer.”

The Spurrier run notwithstanding we are still 50-43 and 3-3 over the last 6 games. 90 through 10 was unacceptable And I refuse to accept that as the norm. Period.
A series of poor coaching changes on our part and a series of quality coaching changes in hogtown created that artificial imbalance. Kirby has all the tools to reinsert UGA ( as he has) back into the national conversation as the dominant SEC east power.

We used every excuse in the book for losing this game for years; playing in Jax, no open date beforehand when Florida had an open date, too windy, injuries, etc., etc. When we ran out of excuses we inserted a 3rd string QB or just plain forgot to show up. This series will swing when the physicality of our team can overcome whatever mental block that may still exist. I believe that time is now.

I hate the excuses, like that it is in Florida etc., BUT those years where we were evenly matched and they had an open date while we came in on week 9 after a bruising battle in Kentucky, etc. was a huge difference. Given that we beat them when the scenario was shifted showed what rest meant at that point in the schedule.

There are no excuses! We had losses because it was played in Jax?!? Dooley owned Jax! Because we didn’t have an week?!? Bullshit. Better Jimmies and Joes?!? Same recruiting pool. Just whip their ass.
