When you know it’s in the bag

Let’s just say Nick Saban didn’t appear especially overwrought about the outcome of yesterday’s game.

When Saban can’t even make the effort to show faux in game concern about a conference rivalry, you know the Champions of Life have a problem.

Alabama didn’t even really play well and still won by 38.

Tennessee is terrible. And I can’t understand why anyone thought they were going to be any better. They’re no worse than UK, Vandy, Ole MIss, Arkansas, etc., and not really any worse than South Carolina or Florida; even last year they weren’t much better than the current level. The SEC has just mostly really dropped over the last five years.

  2. I think they allowed right about 100 yards of total offense. That’s pretty damn good against anyone in today’s college game where the enforcement of the rules is so tilted toward the offense.

But these teams they’re doing it to are just so awful. The Vandy performance, ok, that was truly exceptional; Vandy’s offense is better than that. But Tennessee? No kidding, there are plenty of lower-tier teams in other conferences that would beat the crud in the SEC’s second division.

Yeah, not really. TN beat Tech, Vandy beat K-State, USCe beat NC State. The crud seems to be doing alright against other P5 teams. The East is 4-2 against P5 teams including our win against ND.

Hmm. That’s a good point, but I do still find it hard to believe that a competent team can only generate 100 yards against any other college team. And you know that game against UF was a double shitshow if ever there was one.

Bama pulled Hurts at half time and do not remember him even running the ball more than once in first half. They could have put 65 points up but Nick seemed in good mood before game.

Bama plays them every year and Nick is doing what he can to keep Booch around. We should too! Bulldawgs for Booch! In the tradition of Fans of Chan

They certainly did their best to keep scoring with their second team well into the 4th quarter though.

If Kirby can give a halftime interview like that this Sat against the hated Gators, it may be one of the happiest days of my year.
