The art of Corching

I posted something a few days ago about how Urban Meyer has mastered keeping his team in the playoff picture.  Here’s another example of how he works it, courtesy of Phil Steele.

You can go a long way pounding the crap out of most teams.  Even the lousy to mediocre ones.

  1. And right now, right on schedule, Mark Richt is having his annual shit the bed to help Corch out.

Did I miss something? Didn’t Corch get spanked at home and on the road? UCF deserves a shot before these bums do.

That Miami-Pitt game was hard to watch. So many missed opportunities. Their WRs were getting separation from Pitt’s defenders, Rosier just couldn’t hit the deep routes today like he has all season.

  8. And on cue here come the usual suspects on Richt. Sure they love this day. Oh well, nothing changes.

Not much has changed for Miami other than potential seeding if they win the ACC…

Miami always had to beat Clemson in the ACCCG to get into the playoff. Nothing is different now.

Miami was first in line for the “non-champ” spot. OSU got their ass kicked twice. If they win the B1G, a conference whose greatest OOC win would be Michigan over Florida, they still got their ass kicked twice. Miami would have remained ahead of them (and Bama) if they were undefeated and lost to Clemson respectably.

Now they have to beat Clemson, hope Clemson comes in 11-1, hope the SEC doesn’t make a case for 2 bids, or hope OSU beats Wisconsin, some combination of that, because there is a plausible (not probable, but plausible) path to even an ACC champ Miami being left out. Just a terrible loss.

      I am the usual suspect….

      1) Fire RICHT
      2) Never pull for other than UGA
      3) Herman a bust at TX
      4) Salute McGarity
      5) Kirby is a ROCK STAR
      6) Suck it if you don’t believe 1-5

But margin of victory doesn’t matter. The committee said so! Sheesh.

So Corch, a man with all the warmth and none of the boobs of Paul the Johnson, has been running up the score?
