He played so lights out against Georgia Tech — nine tackles, eight solo, with three tackles for loss including a sack –that I’m going to refer to him from now on simply as “R”.

R was everywhere … it was a beautiful thing to watch. I think he locked up the Butkus Award yesterday.

Looks like your mission was successful, things are going exactly as planned. Hope you finalized all instructions for this weekend’s exam with Agents Fromm and R (and of course covert Agent Matthews, he still owes us one, the bill is now due.)

I think my favorite part of the game was the linebacker I Georgia lined up in on some plays, with R as the “deep back”. They had him running so hard sideline to sideline he needed breathers every so often.

That was new and a brilliant strategic move that I hadn’t seen us use before. Let Natrez attack the dive and R clean up the pitch. Worked well, especially in the second half. First half was a little frustrating but they adjusted in the second half and shut out any glimmer of hope.

Gene Chizik was praising it on SEC Now. Pretty damn SMART.

It was brilliant. I don’t honk it would work unless you had R. But Patrick coming downhill eating up the lead block with R cleaning up the mess was beautiful and completely broke Tech. They knew they had no answer for that basically abandoned the triple in favor of the counter.

When other DC s see this, PJ’s offense is washed up.

Only 9?? Hell I’m certain he had that in the first half.

Tech mostly gave up on the option pitch after that.

Roquan’s tackle numbers are interesting. I am convinced that 90% of his tackles are in open space solo. Honestly, he must never get credit for anything in the pile.

I think the stats guy left with the rest of the Tech crowd. He had 9 tackles on Tech’s first three drives.
You don’t mess with the Roquan.

Yo, R? You remember that 21 guy? Shoulder high, R, shoulder high.

If he is assigned to 21, and he follows your plan, 21 would be wise if he declared himself not ready on Saturday. Now if our front guys can get off blocks and just stay out of R’s way. (I miss RS already, and Roquan Smith before that. Next week it will become a blank space, requiring no names, or initials.)

D strategy for Auburrn…Roquan tackles everybody in the backfield at once, then throws ’em out one by one until he finds the one with the ball.
