Rose Bow/Ticketmaster selling a ticket with some kind of hospitality privileges for $409. Cheaper right now on StubHub and Vivid. Lots of tickets available on secondary market. 100,000+ seats and school allotment is only 13K. This ticket business is some kind of a racket.

Agreed. I got 2 on Stubhub, but it would be really nice, after 15 straight years of contributing, to be able to sniff a big game at face value. I’m on pace to be eligible for away tickets through UGA in 2047.

I’ve been in 38 years but just don’t have the kind of money they want you to give to get high demand tickets. I understand money will always trump loyalty though I would like to see at least a token incentive from UGA for loyalty. Because of this system people were at ND, SECC and will be at Rose Bowl who seldom set foot in Sanford Stadium.

In our last Outback Bowl, I purchased my ticket through UGA as a Hartman Fund contributor. The seat was five rows from the top of Raymond James stadium, which was less than half full. I could have scalped better seats cheaper. It is definitely a racket.

Have any of you been able to find a reasonable flight? We’re hoping something opens up or they add some more. They are absurdly expensive right now.

Nope. ATL-DEN-LAX, then LAX-CLT-ATL at poor times and way too much.

A buddy of mine is a train nut and he’s flying to OKC and then taking Amtrak. He’s also insane.

Hell I hope he planned on alotting half a week to travel by train from Oklahoma. He’d be better off renting a car and driving.

I was sitting on ready Sunday at 12:30. Delta doubled up on Monday.

I saw a FB post from someone that booked into Vegas, with the 4 hour drive. The Vegas tickets were very reasonable. YMMV.

$1500 for two, the last even halfway decent time of day flights out and back. Southwest so we get miles and 2 free bags too. We’re staying Thursday-Thursday but have family so that’s a bit of a break.

Same experieince here. We’re flying into and out of San Diego, which isn’t ideal, but it was cheaper and we’re staying with friends in Orange County.

UGA will get approx 20000 for the national championship game so the cutoff will get lower than the SEC championship game. All the MaGill donors have pushed the cutoffs higher.

The announcement said they would announce NC cutoffs in two weeks. Let’s hope so. That’s the least they can do, let those of us who might be close know before we play Oklahoma. Otherwise panic will set in driving the secondary price even higher. UGA playing for a NC in the ATL and not getting in will be a tough pill to swallow for lots of fans. Bama and Clemson folks will feel the same way since they are so close.

What’s disappointing is the ticket office should know the cutoff for anything 1 minute after the online request closes. There are no more paper requests so a simple sort program should tell them immediately what both cut offs are.

  5. I hope no one got screwed again by sending additional Hartman money with the thought they were going to get Rose Bowl tickets just to be told, “Thanks for the contribution. We’re sorry you won’t get the tickets.”

On a similar note, I just finished my season ticket holder survey. I asked for access to water and clean restrooms, I doubt I will get either.
