“I like the running backs that are more concerned with us winning football games.”

Dan Wolken’s ode to Nick Chubb is definitely worth your time to read.  A little taste to get you started:

If Georgia wins its first national title since 1980, it will likely be because Chubb reminded everyone that when the ball is in his hands, nobody in the country is better.

Amen to that.

  2. Should be more pieces like that. I guess being a humble, hard working kid doesn’t get you much press these days. The only thing I wish I could do was let the kid know how much I appreciate what he has done for this university. May all your dreams come true Nick, and Gods speed.

Words fall short. He’s the very best kind, and he’s worked unbelievably hard for it. He’s the hammer and the anvil. He’s also been the steel.

I never thought I’d see another one like 34, but while he may not have had the yards he has done everything else. I got to see him play and for that I am grateful. I am damn sure going to miss that kid, Here’s to torching OU for about 225 #27….Always ..A Damn Good Dawg.

I’ll say “All time Top Dawg”.
I love HW but he left early.
Nick came back and bought the others with him. Nick has set the standard for work, class, loyalty, dedication and determination, leadership, and performance. I’ve said before that while Herschel had more talent, Nick has more than enough and leads in every other measure of greatness.
And what can never be measured is the impact he made and will continue to make.
Just read what Nick says in the “Quote of the Day” (on margin of this blog page).
This season is Nick’s season. CKS has to know that Nick and Sony and the other seniors that returned gave him an unmeasurable gift that will pay dividends for years to come.
The younger players have seen the example. They have seen Nick and Sony and what they stand for. Recruiting is easier when you win championships too.
Nick Chubb has given more than any other, in my opinion. He’s the best.

There has to be a step above Damn Good Dawg. When that term is identified, Nick’s picture will be next to it.

Great piece Chubb is definetly underrated. Hopefully we play well enough for him to get recognition. I think we will.

That’s a great point. Imagine the emotions on the team that BM won the Heisman and Nick wasn’t considered. There should be some great work from the OL to get Nick the recognition they know he deserves.
