“We’re aware of his visit”

The POTUS, the Secret Service, Atlanta police and a national championship crowd from Alabama and Georgia… gee, what could possibly go wrong?

I’m starting to think I need to take Monday off.  It may take all day to work my way through the shitstorm to get inside and watch the game.

***************************************************************************

UPDATE:  The White House can neither confirm or deny.

CFP executive director Bill Hancock has spoken with White House officials, but the White House has not confirmed that President Donald Trump will be in attendance at the national championship. “We have met with an advance team consisting of folks from the White House, Secret Service and FBI who were analyzing the logistics for a possible visit by the president of the United States,” Hancock said. “As far as any details of a visit, those will have to come from the White House. They asked us not to talk about details, which of course you never talk about details of security. But there are ways. We have not received official word from the White House that he is coming, but we have met with a logistics team, so they’re clearly making plans.” Hancock said stadium gates will open at 5:30 ET and Atlanta police have encouraged fans to get downtown early.

By all means, let’s make this a down to the wire decision.

***************************************************************************

UPDATE #2:  Jeebus.

“Please please execute the highest regard and greatest level of common sense. We CANNOT have folks continuing to bring guns and leaving them in their cars,” Chief Erika Shields said at a multi-agency news conference Thursday on preparations.

Maybe somebody needs to think about printing “I Survived The 2018 CFP Championship Game” t-shirts.

It’s the dunning-Kruger effect. He lacks the very skills it takes to realize his heads up his own ass so he sees no need to extricate it.

I will say that while I’ve never desired to be in the same room with that treasonous, incompetent, con man, buffoon, (I could go on) the last time we won this thing Jimmy Carter was in the building so there’s that.

Carter was three weeks from the end of his presidency and had a connection.

Clinton went to an arky natty game because of the connection.

Obama, Reagan and the Bushes had shit to do.

Trump’s connection? He needs the applause. Besides everybody wants trump away from the WH as much as possible and he’s compliant with those wishes. One out of three days on a trump property. What dedication to the job! If you don’t know this guy’s a fucktard, it’s because you’re fucktarded.

If he didn’t need a pardon power I sincerely believe he would have already declared victory and passed the torch to mike.

He liked the idea of this. The reality of it is not so much fun.

He’s using the position either for a string of pardons and/or a negotiation. The art of the deal: “I’ll go home if I don’t go to prison and get to keep all my ill gotten shit and my family stays out too. Otherwise I pardon everyone including me and it’ll be shitstorm for years.”

I think both sides would take that deal.

I guess I’ll just have to agree with Mr. Conservative, White Nationalist, America Firster Steve Bannon on this:

“The three senior guys in the campaign thought it was a good idea to meet with a foreign government inside Trump Tower in the conference room on the 25th floor.
Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad shit, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Most patriots would agree. I know you don’t.

Traitor. Trump over country. You should be so proud. Traitor.

Good points. Bannon was, is, and always will be a fan of Trump. Getting fired never changes one’s allegiances. But it’s about the appearance of impropriety. Hillary took millions in Russian nuclear dollars for a uranium deal and that’s cool. Trump’s campaign staff met with Russians to discuss exposing Hillary’s crimes, which is obviously a capital offense.

By the way, I would be careful criticizing Dear Leader. By the standards of your own heroes like FDR and Lincoln, you’re a candidate for Gitmo.

Seemed to me that Il Douche and Bannon we’re 2 peas in a pod until this quote but maybe you’ll show me where there was light between them before Bannon told the truth:

Meeting with Russians trying to interfere with an american election is treasonous, unpatriotic and bad shit.

The uranium deal is bs. Look into it. None of the uranium is allowed to leave the US. None. Multiple agencies approved the sale.

Still more pissed about getting evidence of HIllary’s crimes than the crimes themselves? Not surprised.

You want evidence that Trump and Bannon aren’t BFFs? How about the fact that Trump fired him? Does that count?

Yes. Multiple agencies, under supervision of Hillary, approved the sale. The fact that Hillary was paid millions in Russian nuclear dollars is just coincidence. Nothing to see here. Let’s worry about Trump’s campaign staff trying to expose Hillary’s crimes. That’s the threat to American democracy. As long as politicians can take millions from foreign governments for doing nothing (wink, wink), we’re just fine.

Bannon left in August of last year. Trump and Bannon remained allied until yesterday’s quote.

Fired? They had a different tale then:

“White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed Bannon’s departure, but claimed the decision for him to leave was mutual.
“White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day. We are grateful for his service and wish him the best,” Sanders said in a statement.”

If you couldn’t create your own reality you wouldn’t be such an idiot.

Dude they lie so much who knows? What is true is that the WH said he departed on mutual terms at the time. Now that he’s telling the truth, the WH changes their story to make it seem as though he’s disgruntled.

I also understand that they are threatening him with lawyers because he signed non-disclosure and non-disparagement agreements all of which are apparently required to be in Il Douche’s presence because transparency is bad for business. All 3 wives signed them.

Do you think Michelle or Hillary or Nancy or Barbara or anyone else in their President’s circles ever signed such things? Nope. Why does he insist? Because he’s a piece of shit and he doesn’t want the world to know about it.

Can’t let the rubes in on the truth.

Russdawg, Hillary did lead the State Department. She also appointed a representative on the Committee on Foreign Investment, which approved the deal. Thus, she held great sway over whether her Russian benefactors would get the business deal they were after. Nothing wrong with that, amirite?

FWIW, exactly how corrupt are politicians allowed to be before it’s a problem? Obviously getting millions in Russian nuclear money isn’t a big deal. Would getting billions be a big deal? Is Trump’s discussing getting dirt on Hillary a big deal only because he didn’t pay for it, like Hillary did? I’m just curious.

Goodness Da’Rek quotes Bannon. The earth is officially flat now.

“There’s nothing to the Russia investigation,” he said, appearing to become visibly agitated by the question. “It’s a waste of time.”

“Look. I was there. It’s a total and complete farce. Russian collusion is a farce.”

Rose pressed, asking Bannon if he thought the Russians tried to influence the election.

“Maybe something they did at the DNC,” he responded half-heartedly. “It’s far from conclusive that the Russians had any impact on this election.”

The fact that both schools have a band that can perform making the super duper hip hop halftime show unnecessary is the point at hand. A well coordinated marching band performance with new music is far more engaging for everyone than a polarizing performance from one genre, whether it be UGA, Bama, Maine State or Grambling State. People seem to love Jason Aldean but his performance would be just as shrug inspiring to the same old white guys who undoubtedly don’t subscribe to his brand of bro-country. But feel free to make it about the good ol’ boys vs the outspoken black man.

The law allows carrying concealed guns on public university campuses during tailgating. We still can’t carry inside the stadium. This has been the law all season and the MSM has covered up all the gunfights that have occurred during tailgating.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium also prohibits carrying weapons in the stadium. But obviously all those guns left in cars could become self-aware and start taking people out Terminator-style. That’s why it’s best to leave guns in safes at home buried under 15 feet of concrete.

The police should be the only ones armed in our society. That way, nobody gets hurt. 😉

GeorgiaCarry would disagree with your interpretation of the law, and I, for one would actually agree with them. OCGA 16-11-127 was very clearly amended in 2014 to allow PRIVATE property owners to prohibit guns on their property. Governments can prohibit guns only when there is a government office in that government building. Government building is defined as the parts of a building in which a government entity is housed and has offices, effectively. Last time I checked, the MBS does not have any such offices but is owned by the government and is, thus, not private. The NFL and MBS have probably been violating state law since it opened.

        (c) A license holder or person recognized under subsection (e) of Code Section 16-11-126 shall be authorized to carry a weapon as provided in Code Section 16-11-135 and in every location in this state not listed in subsection (b) or prohibited by subsection (e) of this Code section; provided, however, that private property owners or persons in legal control of private property through a lease, rental agreement, licensing agreement, contract, or any other agreement to control access to such private property shall have the right to exclude or eject a person who is in possession of a weapon or long gun on their private property in accordance with paragraph (3) of subsection (b) of Code Section 16-7-21, except as provided in Code Section 16-11-135. A violation of subsection (b) of this Code section shall not create or give rise to a civil action for damages.

This sounds like it has the potential to be worse than entry into the Rose Bowl. Once I finally got in to my seat, I damned sure didn’t leave again until the Dawgs finally left the field.

If I was going to this game, I do think I’d just be there at 5:30 or earlier and hang out inside the Benz for the next 6+ hours or how ever long it goes.

They will all be toasting the Dawgs together and exchanging phone numbers if we win..slapping backs and laughing about how all of the animosity has just been a big misunderstanding. Chili will leave with a MAGA hat on and Trump will invite him and Derek to golf in Scotland.

Conversely, if someone wants to rally in favor of Allah, that’s also fine. I don’t think either group should be attacked.

It’s only bloodthirsty idiots who think that their side is morally justified in attacking other people who hurt their feelings.

I say Nazis and supporters of Islamic inspired terror are two for whom their asses getting kicked doesn’t cause me concern and I wouldn’t think the ass kickers are just as bad as the protesters.

This is where we part. You would not say “both sides” if supporters of Islamic terror got their asses beat. Nazis? Well you feel bad for the Nazis. They should be left alone, right?

What we’re talking about, dumbass, is the “both sides” comment. You mentioned antifa, above dumbass, in a negative light. That’s what I responded to hours ago and you’ve yet to confront the issue at hand, dumbass.

In my view antifa is favored over Nazis. Anti-Nazis>Nazis. Get it?

So when someone denigrates antifa while not denigrating the Nazis, it’s apparent to me, and all non-dumbasses, that they like the Nazis better than the anti-Nazis.

In short, the “both sides” comment was the most morally contemptible thing publically uttered by a US President is the history of the US. If you don’t see that then you’re a Nazi sympathizer just like Il Douche.

To illustrate that: assume that on September 11th, 2011 a group of pro-bin laden supporters celebrated the 10th anniversary. Police try to protect their rights. I’m for that.

Other people, so offended by the march/protest, lose their emotions and beat the living fuck out of everyone one of the bin laden supporters.

Obama says that “both sides”were at fault. He doesn’t say that he sympathizes with the anger of the counter protesters. Rather he equates anti-terrorists with terrorists.

Would you join me and saying: “ obama, that’s really fucked up?”

                  Yes or no?

sigh Running over people was violent, which I have already stated I’m against. You just really can’t imagine discourse of ideas without somebody at risk of being killed, can you?

And you’re letting your ignorance show again. Chamberlain was against a world war resulting in more than 60 million deaths. What a pussy! Doesn’t he know that killing people is awesome? I mean, as long as they’re brown, or at least have different ideas about religion or civil authority than we do. Fuck those guys.

And Trump’s “both sides” was the most immoral statement in the history of the U.S.? Hilarious! Of course, I need to remember that you consider morality to be a study of things that do, or do not, hurt your feelings. Of course, FDR, Andrew Jackson, Lincoln, and Wilson aren’t eligible for consideration. Like Florida football, US history only includes your lifetime.

Some ideologies of their very nature are violent and due to be confronted. Among them are:

racial supremacy- the idea that the power of the government should be used to systematically discriminate on the idea that one race is better or more deserving than another

religious supremacy- the idea that those who don’t believe a certain religion are heathens and must die or be removed at the hands of the government

Che Guevara type communism- the idea that your property must be taken by the government without due process of law or by democratic processes

All three have left death and destruction in their wake. Some people appease them. Those people suck.

Nice example of a public comment by a president as morally defunct. Good luck with that. You saying that its true does not mean it is. You need an example. Again, we’re talking “public” and we’re talking in the context of the time it was said. Andrew Jackson calling native Americans names may count to you, but it doesn’t to me.

See, there’s a difference between stating that you disagree with racists or communists, and attacking, or excusing the attacking of people espousing those views. That’s the point I’m making. While you think that people who don’t want to attack racists are bad, I think the people actually attacking the racists, or cheering them on, are much worse.

Actually, I was focused more on the actions of the former presidents, rather than simply screeching about their words. I assume that each president made public statements in favor of his morally abhorrent actions. It’s amusing, yet unsurprising, that you consider words more offensive than actions.

But if you’re so gung ho on bad words, how about D.W. Griffith quoting Woodrow Wilson in The Birth of a Nation? “The white men were roused by a mere instinct of self-preservation … until at last there had sprung into existence a great Ku Klux Klan, a veritable empire of the South, to protect the Southern country.” Is that kind of statement in praise of the KKK on par with Trump stating that violence is bad, even if people are beating on white, alt-righters? Just wondering.

I’m done with flatulent hard ons named after dictators. You’re incapable of forming a cogent thought.

Have you seen the KKK rallies in DC after Wilson’s presidency? Do you know anything about anything at all? Not saying racist things in the 1920’s would be remarkable not the other way around. Defending Nazis 70 years after the Holocaust is different, you know, for people with brains.

The idea isn’t whether MLK would endorse the beating the fuck out of Nazis. The question is whether he’d have the good sense to understand the attackers rage and empathize with that more than the ideology of a Nazi. This isn’t hard. Unless you’re dumb. When MLK said that “a riot is the language of the unheard” that was a superior thought to “both sides” you dumbass. Doesn’t mean he’s pro-riot or pro-rioter, you moron. He just understands the rage, but the worse actor is the oppressor not the oppressed who lash out in response, you idiot. .

So we’re back to my earlier observation. You’re incapable of empathizing with other people. Since black people a hundred years ago aren’t you, who gives a damn about them? Wilson was spectacularly racist, even for his time. But we can just give him a pass because he didn’t personally offend you. Obviously Trump increasing traffic delays in Atlanta is a much greater travesty on a historical basis than some other president killing people, or applauding killing people, or something else that didn’t affect you personally. We all have to understand that you’re triggered. The fact that Wilson reversed decades of improved race relations shouldn’t even raise eyebrows. After all, he pushed us right into World War I, so that’s awesome for somebody like you that applauds body bags by the millions.

Tragically, that’s exactly the kind of “thought” that we’ve come to expect from you. Hopefully, your high school history teachers do a better job than your middle school teachers did. If so, I’ll be around so you can apologize for your spectacular dumbassery. In the meantime, you need a nap, junior.
