Another reason

You know the end times are at hand when Phil Fulmer is living vicariously through Alabama.

There’s something really wrong with that.

That is an utterly absurd rationale. Pruitt is a small part of Bama and will barely get any, if any credit if they win. Pruitt isn’t winning anything; instead, the university, Saban, players, etc. will all ‘win it’, get the credit and bask in the glory for months while Pruitt quietly exits stage left to immediately take over a dump of a UT program literally an hour after the game. That’s like the CEO/Bezos at Amazon saying he’s rooting for Walmart because the CISO at Walmart will soon be leaving to join his team. Again, totally illogical.

Oh yea, Pruitt will also quickly become a hated enemy of Bama win or lose as well, so I wouldn’t exactly count on Bama giving him a nice send off while listing him as an esteemed luminary in the Bama media guides for years to come. Hell, if anything, they’ll probably hijack his luggage and slash the tires of his moving truck as it attempts to pull out of town. Perhaps even plant a bug in his cellphone.

Who can blame him….Georgia has a lot of momentum, I would think that Fulmer would want to see that slowed. Gotta win the east before you can win the SEC.

  8. No way would I pull for Todd Grantham to win a ring at Florida if he were becoming Georgia’s head coach (I shudder at the thought) and I were the Georgia AD.

Fulmer needs to have his head examined.

I am certainly not pulling for Fulmer, just saying from his perspective….who can blame him for pulling for Bama. As far as teams go…FOCK TN, I despise them more than any. Their 9 game winning streak back in the 90’s kind of did it for me. The only team I care about is Georgia.

One of the neatest atmospherics of the big ole goose egg that the Dawgs planted on the Viles just over 3 months ago was that Phat Phil and Pizza Peyton were both on hand in the stadium to enjoy it with everyone else.

    Greg is right.
Imagine Phil in bed with Phyllis
    No..don’t do that.
Phil, the opportunist, knows that Alabama is a force in it’s own self. There isn’t much he can hope for to slow them down..but Georgia’s emergence as Alabama East is a whole new problem that he would like to see nipped in the bud…and it’s getting late. It’s probably too late.
And while both Ga and Al are great sources of talent, Georgia is the really deep well. A natty in Kirby’s quiver would be one more huge obstacle in recruiting the Peach State for Tn.
Maybe he can take a trip over to Tuscaloosa and have a good old back slapping, hand shaking good time with the natives. I hear he’s a real favorite of theirs. Maybe someone will even get him a ‘Bama hat and take him over to Dreamland for some ribs.

His key to success is recruiting….go back and check his roster in the ’97 MNC. He had a bunch of key Georgia players on that team….he knows that state is key. He would love nothing better than slowing down that train….easier path for him.

Gotta say one thing for Pruitt – he’s good at double dipping. Got paid by Greg Medicority & bama while assisting saban and Kirby with the 2016 championship game. Now gets paid by utk and bama while he preps for the 2018 championship game.

For those who believe in multiple sources of income, he’s not in Charlie Weis territory by any means. But not bad for an assistant.

I think Fat Phil is actually the head coach and that the relationship with Pruitt is going to be as Volatile as products coming out of Oak Ridge.
