… to Jalen Hurts.
I am no strategic genius, but I’m not missing what Job One for Mel Tucker is Monday night, am I? It’s got to be to make Hurts beat you throwing the ball… or, more accurately, make Hurts beat you throwing the ball while bracketing Calvin Ridley in coverage. Right? Right?
Absolutely this. Baker and Sanders/Reed follow Ridley all day. Make Hurts use others to create a passing game.

I didn’t watch much of the Clemson – Bama debacle, but I saw enough to know the QB play on both sides was downright embarrassing. Of course prognosticators will undersell Fromm in this game—he’s a FRESHMAN! He’s also better at reading defenses, getting into the right plays, managing the pocket, and just plain passing.
In other words, he’s an advantage.

I had the exact same thought. I finally got around to watching this week. What stood out to me the most is how Bryant is at reading a defense. Second was bad they both are at throwing the ball.

Oh, you are so a strategic genius. Best thing we have going for us is Kiffin isn’t around to scheme for Hurts. We have a puncher’s chance, maybe better.

Fromm > Hurts in the passing game is probably Georgia’s biggest edge. Will Kirby turn him loose? Or do both coaches take 0 risks deep into the second half and see where things stand?
