Make Stadium Entry Great Again

Please don’t hate me for mentioning You Know Whom even in passing, but I thought this bit of news might be relevant to share with those of you who, like me, are going to the game tomorrow:

CFP staff – as well as officials from the Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and area law enforcement – are involved in planning logistics for a presidential visit.

Earlier this week, the College Football Playoff issued an advisory for fans to “beat the traffic and head to the downtown Championship Campus early on Monday,” although the release did not mention a presidential visit.

Hancock underscored the suggestion that fans arrive early for the contest, which is scheduled to kick off at 8:17 p.m. ET.

“It will take longer for fans to get in,” he said, “so we’re telling people here come early. We’re going to open the gates earlier than we planned.”

Hancock said attendees need to try to depart for the stadium early and also expect a longer process getting into the building due to heightened security.

“There’s two parts of early: one part is streets being closed from traffic and then the other part is going in the building early because it’s going to take a while to get inside,” he said.

It’s going to be a bear.  There are warning signs on I-75 that traffic will be an issue starting at 2PM, so plan accordingly.

I still cringe remembering how I missed the first score of the 1997 Georgia-Florida game because security was so backed up getting in.  I’m not letting history repeat itself in that regard; you shouldn’t, either.

Yes… AND…. I’m also sweating the electronic tickets. I have three backups on my phone just in case weird stuff happens. May also print images in case phone dies.

      I have those too.

Mine show Row ST4. Does yours show that “ST?” I don’t know and can’t figure out wtf that is supposed to mean. I was on hold with Ticketmaster for an hour before getting disconnected.

No – I have Section Row Seat. However, it says Enter Gate: and there is nothing there.

I have to sign in every time. That’s why I made the local copies. Cell service always bites near a stadium. Add to that people who are fumbling to use their phone with gloves and this is going to be a dumpster fire. Thinking I’ll line up to go in at 445… Just damn.

Incidentally – are you the same Derek as DawgCast?? Sorry if I’m just now putting that together.

No. Don’t know what dawgcast is.

Anyone out there with a ticket that says “Row ST” and then a number??

          • Are you in some sort of special section where perhaps you are standing ? Not trying to worry you but at these new stadiums there is a lot of shit going on with seating aside from the norm.
As an example, I know you can buy space inside Molly B’s where you can stand or grab a table.

I don’t know. I can’t understand why it would have any Row number with it then. Also, it has seat numbers. It’s a lower level ticket too.

I can’t imagine they’ve added rows in front or behind of the exiting rows. But maybe??

I downloaded mine to apple wallet so I can pull it up faster. No “ST” on my ticket, just section, row and seat along with a QR barcode like others mentioned. I think ST is a standing room only section.

How did you move them to your Apple wallet? I went in and opened up my tickets and went to the “send” option then I chickened out. Didn’t want to send them somewhere and not get them back.

There is a section t >> field level behind the endzones. Never heard of a row st. As far as security, I can say it was ramped up significantly in the past week. Good luck. Wish I was going.

        • The Electronic Tickets I sold only have section, row and seat as well. It was a pretty rigorous process to transfer them and I’m sure it will be ok.

I didn’t give quite that much but I gave a lot. There is a unique looking area at the back of the lower level section I’m in so maybe that’s it. Thanks for the help.

In addition to the best views from midfield and all club benefits listed above, SunTrust Club ticketholders will have access to an additional club area and all-inclusive food and beverage (alcohol included). Along with the comparable AMG Lounge seats on the opposite side of the field, these are highly considered the best seats at a Falcons game.

Based on recent track record that group will change everything up at the end and collapse in the fourth quarter. And their roof won’t open.

It’s just a not good idea for any president to visit an event of this magnitude. I hope he stays away. Just no reason to inconvenient everyone to the degree it would cause.

Sure there is. He expects applause. That is worth everything to this guy.

All he wants is an introduction or a jumbotron shot and affirmation. He’s a child.

Yep. It’s quite simple to understand when you accept the fact that he doesn’t give a tinker’s damn about you or me or regular people, nothing supercedes the need to inflate his ego. He doesn’t give fuck about Georgia or Alabama football; he sees it as a chance to make a large gathering of red staters a PR opportunity for himself.

Yeah. I mean what kind of politician seeks public adoration and applause. So weird cause that never happens. You’d think he’d stay in seclusion like all the other ones.

You’re right. I’m sure you could list all the campaign style events the last 7 or 8 presidents held in their first year in office. Shit, just name one. That’ll show ‘em.

This is completely normal just like….

Politicians seek publicity whether you like em or not.

It must suck to have a president personally affect you every time he does something but you can’t stop crying can you?

Give me a fucking break. You’re fucktards who voted for a fucktard who now want to act like the majority’s reaction to this moron is disproportionate. Bullshit! You’re full of shit. Every last fucktarded one of ya.

I’ve actually said none of that. Your reading comprehension is probably in the same range as the age you act.

Cry more. I’m sure it affects his supporters as much as it does you.

What a fucking moron. Whether like him or not, he us our President. I spent 8 years hearing how everything was the fault of the cops, how we should negotiate with N. Korea, the Taliban, Iran, and those domestic terrorists who shall remain nameless. And you know what, NOT ONCE did I say anything further than “We need another president.”

I don’t know, maybe it will be worth the “Boo”s level imbibed and mixed with the “Yea”s when he is introduced publicly since “Fire and Fury” hit the stands and was digested over the weekend. Kinda lets you know the reading level of the CFP audience in the stadium.

It was so bad at the gate we went in that security just let us in carrying our beer that we were drinking while waiting to get in the stadium. The guard near me literally said, “F this, just go.” and we all poured in the open gate. It was ridiculous.
