    I wonder how history would have been different if BVG had not been such a rolling stone and stuck with Richt at UGA. Perhaps he would have been another Erk in UGA folklore instead of a vagabond with a pornstache.

      I don’t think he would have lasted. He was/is really, really good at defending pro style offenses, which were still the predominant thing in the early 2000’s. Since the various spreads came into the equation, he’s never been close to the same. His inability to make that transition would have ultimately doomed him in Athens, too, IMO.

      Petrino may want to curb his tongue when talking to BVG, lest he remember his road rash episode as fondly as a kiss on the lips compared to what he gets if his mouth overruns his ass with his new DC.
