Genuinely excited about that! Dude pulled off one helluva coaching job last year with our Special Teams…while also seriously downgrading Auburn’s.

  6. That’s great. Fountain did an excellent job with our special teams and would be a great readdition to the staff.

Coach Beamer’s subsequent departure to Oklahoma for an “assistant head coach” position allows Coach Fountain to move into the special teams coordinator role at a higher profile program without having to relocate.

Good move Coach Fountain and welcome back!

I like Coach Beamer, but I suspect Oklahoma did not hire the guy most responsible for the Sooners getting beat on special teams.

And we took Cortez Hankton from Vandy to be our new WR coach. Looks as if Coley will move to QB coach and co-OC with Chaney.

After hearing Kirby’s praise for Fountain’s work last season, am I the only one who feels he wasn’t very upset with Beamer’s departure?

And he gets to live in Athens and not Starkville. Pretty good day for him in multiple ways.
