Behold, the SEC Championship Ring, in all its encrusted glory:
Herff Jones and University of Georgia Partner to Create SEC Championship Ring – Herffjones.com
Yeah, it’s gaudy, but that’s how those things roll. The main thing is the big ‘ole “G” sitting in the middle there. (I kind of like Auburn’s ass-whipping being immortalized, too.)
Hopefully, we won’t find any of these bad boys gracing the pages of eBay in the coming years.

McGarity will be scouring eBay every day waiting to see one go up, so he can suspend the kid for selling his own property.

Very happy for the young men on this team to have a “meaningful ring” to always remind them of the payoff for the commitment to excellence this squad made. A life lesson there, the power of uniting with others and dedicating yourself to achieving something you really want. There were so many who doubted this group could go so far, including me, but they never seemed to doubt themselves, even in their lowest moment. Bravo! Wear that ring proudly, and tell your story thousands of times during your lifetime.(over free drinks I would bet!)

“gaudy”?? …… Looks pretty damn good to these eyes. I can’t think of any championship ring that looks better….can you?

Am I the only one that finds “Smart” on the side a bit odd?
I assume they will get Rose Bowl rings as well and that is why that game/win isn’t mentioned on the ring.

I think the article said that area will contain player’s name and number. The one shown is an example.

FIrst thing I noticed was that “Smart” was the largest font on the ring. Which, frankly, is a little weird to me. I doubt KS had anything to do with designing them, so it is not meant in any way as a criticism of him, but I’m not sure I ever saw a championship ring anywhere upon which the coach’s name was even on there.
Other than that, sweet ring. I remember seeing the SEC champs rings in 76, and NC rings in 1980, and Stan Kasten’s 95 world championship ring, and thinking it must be pretty cool to have one. An SEC ring is a step in the right direction, and something to be proud of, for sure.

Noticed that, too. I doubt it was at Kirby’s direction.

They give each guy a personalized ring. They can’t put “Chubb,” “Michel,” “Carter,” or “Fromm” on the display version (that whole name and likeness thing).

Ah. That makes a lot more sense. Sorry to be confused.

I think each player and coach has his name in that spot on the ring.

I’ll bet Hawkins-Muckle is gonna need a bigger ring. . .

Good looking ring, but I still prefer the ok’d school Uga to that clip art thing they use now.

I completely agree that the old school dawg looks a lot better. But the AD is going to keep pushing the clip art one, I suppose.

Clip art is a perfect description. It’ll go out of style soon. Just a graphic design fad. My 5 year old pulled out an old stained glass bulldog that my parents gave me. Wanted it mounted above his bed. That kids got better taste than these nike designers. 🙂

I saw the UT Knox ring celebrating the Season of Champions of Life. It displayed the following message:

Sorry, the memory of TN’s 2017 season will always be alive for all who enjoy their much deserved misery. May it live in their minds 24/7. What a monumental collapse and failure, from Top 5 pick nationally a year ago, to 0-8 in the conference in 2017. Begging everyone to take their foot off the throttle in games to making a complete fool of themselves in the longest/worst coaching search in CFB history; not sure which I enjoyed most but it was all very entertaining in a pleasant way.
