Let’s face it: it’s basically impossible to write a best-of-recruiting piece about the 2018 class without having Georgia’s footprint all over it.

Good Lord, that is Dawg porn of the highest caliber.
Alabama is represented, for sure, but not like you’d expect. Take away Surtain from that class and it goes from good but disappointing to a disaster by their standards.
In the past I would be thinking something along the lines of “I hope they come in prepared to work their asses off”, but with the current staff we have in place there is no other option.
I envision as many trips to the Ramsay pool as we had last year.

Otis Reese should have been a Top 5 at safety.
Some misinformed Dawg fan mentioned yesterday that losing Sandidge was a blessing in disguise. Que? Well, not according to Rivals!
I always had the feeling that there may be a situation where we could only take one or the other of Sandidge and Tommy Bush because of the numbers, but could be way off base. Anyone else have that feeling or know of any reporting on it?
I have no way of knowing either, but figure Sandridge informed us the day before that he wasn’t coming, and we then “allowed” Walthour to sign. I do believe Walthour would have been the odd man out if Sandridge had wanted in.
I don’t know if that’s the case or not, but (all things being equal) I’ll always take a stud DT ahead of a receiver.
That was me. I’ll stand by my comment. Sandidge was never coming to UGA. Go back and read Sentell’s Intel articles on him. He chose Columbia, SC over Athens, GA!!!
It’s a blessing because this kid sounds like a bust waiting to happen, AND it opened a spot for a 6’5″ A.J. Green clone.
Remember, Rivals is more often wrong on 4star recruits than they are right.
I don’t know what it means is but I never have had a good feeling about Sandidge. I swear this is not sour grapes. I actually would have kind of preferred we sign a stud defensive linemen to a receiver but I don’t think Sandidge is going g to turn out to be that in college. I think he’s soft.
I agree completely.
Oh man. Just when you think you’ve soaked it all in and understand the impact, someone comes out with a new perspective. It’s hard not to be giddy.
These posts have me looking back at the last class to see who my be competing with the newbies…that #3 class is no shabby class either. The competition will be mad this summer and fall. When does football start? This will be the longest off-season ever!
I think Emory Jones at UF is the best fit at QB. I don’t like him and Mullen together.
My web browser won’t allow me to view NSFW material.
I thought FU signed a bad class. How come their signees are all over the Best Fits thing?
