Smart talk

If you didn’t hear Saturday’s post-practice presser, here you go:

Lot of interesting tidbits there, and by that I don’t mean the Stetson Bennett love.  Biggest surprise I heard was how well the receivers group is progressing.

Bottom line is that he thinks the team has a lot of promise, but a long way to go.

I wonder if the team might actually be better and ahead of the curve than Kirby is actually saying. I know he doesn’t want to give them the big head, but just once it would be nice to hear some straight talk instead of the infernal coachspeak

They had better progress (the receivers group).

Go back and watch a 2017 UGA highlights compilation on Youtube, and see how many 3rd & 8’s there are where Fromm just threw a jump ball in the general direction of #6. That man is Julio Jones awesome, and will be sorely missed.

Actually we shouldn’t be surprised that the kid is doing so well. He wasn’t just your typical walk-on. Stetson had some good offers he turned down to be a Dawg.

2* prospect with offers from Mercer, Columbia, Middle Tennessee State, and Georgia Southern.

Good kid and glad he’s a Dawg, but let’s not over sell him.

Yeah, wait for his QBR in the spring game to do that 😎

He looked pretty good in the spring “game” last year.

I was happy to hear he made the travel squad for the Rose Bowl so he could be the pretend Baker Mayfield in practice.

“He wasn’t just your typical walk-on” is an over sell? Right now he’s #3 behind two of the highest rated QBs in the country, and getting mentions from the coach. I know he isn’t going to compete for the starting job, but he’s pretty darn good.

Southern Miss offered the kid too…he’s no regular walk on.
