Welcome, John Rhys Plumlee! An eager Dawgnation awaits the QBR from your first G-Day appearance.

I don’t know if he’ll ever be a starter at UGA, but he is FAST!!!
If the dude was on campus he would probably be penciled in to start this fall. /:-)/ He is just that good. Have you seen his film?
Yes. There’s a 95 yard run he made where he smokes everyone on the field. I have no idea if he can play qb in the sec. Unless he puts on about 15 or 20 lbs. he may just be another Logan Gray. I do know that he is FAST. Very fast.
Yeah, he really accelerates…and is slippery. I’m very impressed with his film..great arm. Welcome!, young Mr. Plumlee!!
What a way to welcome on new commit of need. Where’s the eye roll emoji?
Your reading comprehension skills still need some work.
Dawgbyte…..the “NEGATIVE” patrol. Richt would be so proud…..
We are recruiting a different breed of QB these days…think more dual threat.
I think it’s more about being flexible. I think we want to be attractive to Jacob Eason and Deshaun Watson.
Fromm isn’t a threat to run and I’m sure Kirby would take a dozen.
Not sure exactly what you mean by “not a threat to run”. He’s no Michael Vick but his runs last year extended some drives and contributed a great deal, IMHO. You leave him uncovered and he will hurt you. Not being argumentative, we see his skills differently I guess.
Agree, a timely 8-20 yard burst occasionally will keep a defense honest. Not a breakaway threat but excellent decision maker who will take advantage of a defense who gets out of position. Will probably run more this year with a healthy backup available, don’t think he ran the ball until the TN game last season. Competitor who finds a way to get it done, no matter what it requires. But PTC is right, we are looking more to get away from statues in our QB recruiting.
You know what I mean. He wasn’t recruited for his legs. Not suggesting he’s a paraplegic. He might out run 2 guys of 11 on a sec defense. Doesn’t mean he can’t get positive yards on a zone read. So could Stafford.
Watched Fromm when he played baseball in HS. He is not SEC DB fast but he is not slow either. Kid is just a helluva an athlete.
He is fast enough to make the QB run a threat on the RPO. Kind of remind me of Steve Young, not Vick, deceptively fast and can extend a drive if needed.
Disagree with your last statement…
Sounds similiar in skill set to what we lost with Bennett. This new redshirt rule changes everything. We may see him and Fields both for parts of four games.
The new redshirt rule. Does that kick in immediately or next year?
I think he is a good pickup in a year where it would be very difficult for UGA to attract a recruit much better. I also really like the versatility he brings as an athlete. Not since Hines Ward have I seen a recruit with potential to play QB, DB, WR, and STs returner. Not saying he will be that productive but quite the skill set given our needs. Welcome aboard young man!
Only 4 stars? Meh.
The new most popular player on the team!
I believe this was a great pick up for the Dawgs. He is extremely fast and athletic and can probably be used as a receiver, while giving us some back up security at QB.
