Georgia recruiting exposed!

There’s only one possible explanation for Kirby Smart’s success.  Fortunately, some random Internet sleuth has cracked the case wide open. (h/t)

“Supposedly” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there.  As fever dreams go, that one’s pretty elaborate.

I’m not going to get into a discussion about whether every major program cheats on some level, but I will say nobody recruiting well does anything close to something that stupidly obvious.  Supposedly.

In conclusion, all I can say is watch out for future Dawgs’ dental work.

volnation is even worse. Cocky talk actually gets it though. The gamecocks understand that UGA is 70 miles away from the hotbed of recruiting and that CKS is a master recruiter. It isn’t a far stretch to think UGA could go from fairly consistent top 10 class to a top 3 class when UGA hired maybe the top recruiters in the country as their HC. And it isn’t a far stretch to go from being a yearly 10+ win team to going to a NC game If this was an Ol Miss ascendance, then that should raise some eyebrows….but we really didn’t move that far on the grand scheme. Kirby is just driving the car the way it was meant to be driven.

Also, the mindset of today’s players…when a school/coach get “hot” they all want to be a part of it, stoked by the flames of Twitter, Instagram, etc…many factors at work.

The change in the social media presence since Smart was hired is striking as is the tone of the videos posted. During Richt’s time the video were more feel good remind you of that golden time you spent in the Classic City. The videos post Smart seem more hard nosed, attack and create dominance. Videos are also more frequent even if shorter. If it is working and within the rules I am just glad Smart is using all the tools to build the program.

Somewhere, Hugh Freeze is kicking himself for not thinking of that. And over at AG urn, they’re already game planning for how to top it.

Saban isn’t worried, though. He’s been handing out gold bars, Lexus convertibles and homes in Mountain Brook at recruiting nights for years, knowing no one will violate Tide Omerta.

I hope Mcgarity doesn’t whine about the off the books budget. Maybe he has some CIA contacts who can help him learn about offshore accounts.

      • The cluelessness is overwhelming in the last paragraph. Sorry Canes, not everyone wants to go to an urban school with an off campus stadium and a tiny fanbase stitched together by the fading swag of their NFL alumni. You are SMU with palm trees. Probably should have had the death penalty a couple times yourselves.

I can promise you that I am not the only person (football recruits are people too, right?) that would choose a really really awesome college town over a commuter school in an urban environment every day and TWICE ON SATURDAYS.

  4. That rumor is about as reliable as TMZ’s report that AJ Green was at that South Florida agent party in 2010. Of course, we opened a full investigation into AJ and his finances as a result of that.

Pfft, he missed so much of the REAL story. A couple years ago UGA biologists discovered a way to grow $100 bills on the hedges. It just so happens the locker room ‘reveal’ coincided with harvest time.

And those gold shoulder pads our defenders wear after a turnover? That’s real gold! Any player getting a turnover keeps a set of golden shoulder pads. And our gold is 24 karats, not that cheap 14 karat shit ‘the U’ adds to their chain after every turnover.

GODFATHER 1, after the meeting with Barzini and Sollozzo, at which Sonny spoke up in favor of getting in on drug sales after Don Corleone declined to participate. The Don chastises Santino, advising him “Never go against the family,” realizing when you let your adversaries see division, it broadcasts weakness. And, it also let to the attempt to assassinate Don Coreleone, because Sollozzo figured he could make a deal with Sonny.

Also, never bet against a Sicilian when death is on the line, but that’s another story.

“Grills for as many teeth as the recruit desires” truly shows how out of touch this guy is. Can’t remember the last time I saw or heard about a grill.

I can’t help but think the guy (caneforlife) was being sarcastic, and then everyone bit on it like his comment was sincere. See, for example, Nascardawg.

He was. It was posted as a joke/satire and most of the Cane fans got it. Some, however, did not and thought he was serious.

Check out the Senator’s latest post. Looks like Ol’ Urb got some splainin to do. I figure he’ll weasel out of it by denying everything and calling everyone liars. Including his wife. Class act all the way.

Is it just me or has Georgia dropped the habit of committing those annoying and pesky “secondary violations” that were routinely blown out of proportion? If I’m right, it’s just another thing that Kirby has squared away in Athens.

Am I the only one who read that post as an intentional joke?

I am a member on a Cane’s board, but not that one. On the board I read, that would be considered a joke post.
