“Everybody wants to talk about that …”

Member of the media questions whether the Georgia football program can get past a matter that only members of the media continue to obsess about.

Fortunately, we’re only a month away from real football.

UPDATE:  If there’s a question that deserves asking, it’s this:

Georgia — Now what?

Kirby Smart had about as big of a breakthrough as anybody could have hoped for in 2017. Thing is, the only way to improve on it is to actually win a national championship, and that’s pretty damn hard. It’s far more likely that the only place to go is down. The next challenge for the Bulldogs will be to maintain consistency in the face of a schedule that will see them as a favorite in every game, and by heavy margins in most instances.

I’m pretty sure that’s the one Kirby’s been asking since the national title game.

I don’t know anyone who wants to talk about it…

SEC Champs. Rose Bowl Champs. Undefeated all-time vs OU and Notre Dame. Feel pretty good.

I stopped reading about two paragraphs in. It’s like a recycled article from the day after the game.

I’m much more ‘still in the tank’ over the gamecostingofficiating that took place than some bomb that got hit in a college football game to win it.

^^This. The crooked officiating is what really cost Georgia the game.

I’m with you. I can’t even watch UGA-skewed highlights from that game. I don’t know if I’ll ever get over it. Total hosejob.

Thankfully, this team and coaching staff seem to have moved on much better than I have.

Hob…I think you have hit on something.
I hereby nominate the term, “Total Hosejob” as an entry into the GTP Lexicon.
I believe all Bulldog fans should use “Total Hosejob” whenever they refer to that game…esp. when discussing it with ‘Bama fans. They should never be allowed to think that anyone believes they won the Total Hosejob fair and square. If that title should stick, it would ease some of the pain…esp. when it gets to the point that Bama fans begin to realize everyone knows the truth.

Same article over and over again. There is no one I know that wants to talk about it. The season was still awesome. I just re-watched the Rose Bowl game yesterday. Can’t wait till opening day!

  7. It happened just like “Run, Lindsay!” or the “Hobnail Boot” happened. Did it suck to lose? Yes. Did it ruin my view of last season? No.

Month hell, football starts tomorrow! I am so ready to start seeing actual football updates and information. I don’t need a game as the indicator that the season has started.

If the biggest question Georgia has is whether or not they can stay motivated, this should be a pretty good year.

I say we go ahead and win the NC and shut these douchebags up.

I’m just waited for the equally ridiculous flip side narrative that Saban won it all in year three after a devastating loss to an SEC foe in year two so that means CKS and the boys…

Win the next lift. Next drill. Next play. Next game. SEC East. SEC. Worry about nothing else but winning in that order.

Oh…and crush the shit out of USCe, Florida, Auburn and Bama (if we meet them).

If we had won, then there would DEFINITELY be nowhere to go but down. This way we still have a possible “up.” 🙂

We will get a stronger sense about who Kirby is as a coach than we even saw last year. He’s managing a younger team full of far more of the recruits he brought in directly. If they give great effort and flash promise, I think we might be able to accept a regular season loss or two. But honestly, we can’t help but expected an undefeated season when considering the talent we have, the veteran offense, and the talent those other teams DON’T have.
