Imagine what a little experience might do.

I wonder if there’s another coach of late who’s done that in his first two seasons.

I’m sure it’s happened, but I can’t imagine they were as successful in their second seasons.

And in both of the two, the starter didn’t finish.

Didn’t they technically let Lambert finish by taking knees against UNC?

Correct. Put another way: A true freshman has been Georgia’s leading passer in all 28 games Kirby has been the head coach.

Yeah, and with the way things went through the 90’s and 00’s I’m conditioned to worry. What if Kirby got used to it and with experience at the position he gets out of sync and things regress? (I know, it’s irrational)

Not sure that qualifies as a “Fun Fact”. Maybe a Bulldog point of pride…

That’s one of those things you’re glad you found out only in hindsight.

  5. The twos will start the game at least in the first series against a team like Austin Peay considering Eason got injured in the first series against another cupcake. Fields is a better runner and likely can avoid injury altogeher. Avoid a deja vu of last season. Just saying nothing serious here.

I’m ready for this trend to be over.

Both were the first game of the season. Hopefully Fromm ends this trend and we don’t see a sophomore slump.

  11. It would be nice to hear the announcer state multiple times a game, “Even I could have run through that hole the O-line just opened up”.

Probably quite a few have played 2 freshmen QBs in consecutive years, but doubt any of those situations yielded over 21 wins. (Might take all bets on that result.)
