Wow. I have seen some delusional homer posts, but that one takes the cake. I burst out laughing when I got to quarterback.

I’m a glutton for punishment. Fromm rated out as the 8th best passer nationally last year. Bentley was 64th.

But Bentley was a better when throwing to the left facing the sun with the wind out of the west. You got to pick the data to make your point. Surprised he didn’t say that Fromm has never completed a pass at Williams-Brice

No, he didn’t, but Munson would have! Jeez, I remember going to WB fi n the 80s and Munson talking about what appeared to be the 1980s Dolphins combined with the 1980s Redskins and 1980s Giants and 49 niners in one USCE team. Man, could he worry with the best of them!!

The writer isn’t a South Carolina Homer, fwiw. He’s actually an Athens resident who has been a Georgia season ticket holder for years.

Or loonies. Could be a great guy to have a beer with, but not gifted in the ways of football. He could just be someone trolling sc fans to see how many fish he could get on one cast, or simply someone who didn’t have a sarcasm font. Couldn’t have grown up drinking from the Athens water supply and been this clueless. Darker option: could be a POW being held at a game bird fighting site and trying to signal he is under duress. Making stupid, ridiculous mistakes to signal a gun to their head has been a tactic for others when dealing with people who know nothing about the subject matter., Cock fans qualify in that scenario.

Maybe Kirby should go ahead and forfeit to save the embarrassment, we obviously have no chance.

  3. Good hell that guy is delusional. So: Bentley is better than Fromm, they have better WRs, better OC (I guess McClendon’s OC resume of one game – CCarolina – trumps everything Cheney has ever done), more RB depth (so much for Holyfield, Herrien and Cook), and so on.

He might as well extend that further and proclaim: WB stadium is better than Sanford, Columbia trumps Athens, Muschamp is better than Smart, Carolina is a better school than UGA, etc.

  4. I almost spit out my coffee laughing this morning as I read that. Samuel may be the only guy on USCjr’s team that would start at Georgia. Bentley would ride the bench as 3rd team behind Fromm and Fields.

Both sides are trying mighty hard to win this game on paper.

UGA is ranked 3rd nationally, won the SEC last season, won the Rose Bowl last season and never trailed Alabama in the national title game. On the other hand, South Carolina has never won a league title, only played for one league title and got beat by 40, never played in a bowl game better than the Cap One and they are currently riding a 4 game losing streak to…..Kentucky. Spare me the “both teams” trying hard to win this game on paper nonsense.

Even the homer take couldn’t say anything comparatively good about carolina’s defense.

    That “article” is silly…

Unless we have half a dozen turnovers or a rash of injuries I don’t see how SCAR wins this game. The talent gap is just too large. In the 4th quarter, we should see the depth of UGA begin to swing the battle into our favor.

So sc has better receivers than UGA but once Samuel went out last year Bentley had to do more with less? Tell that freelance writer to save me the roach!

Coach Smart, please let no player run his mouth this week. Let us walk in there silent and leave with their manhood just as silently, because we have been there before. We will leave the big talk to the idiots, while we silently lay waste to WB. This, more than anything else, will cow the cocky talk. It may even stunt their growth and development. This is bidness friend, and you need to be downsized.

…and he didn’t even talk about the results of the main responsibilities of the position…coordinating the offense. He mentioned recruiting and the less-than-equal raise of fellow coaches. He should have titled that paragraph differently me thinks. I cannot wait for this Satidy.

Reminds me of having to write a 1000 word term paper and really only having about 500 words to say …so you embellish, re-state, over exaggerate, etc …including submitting foggy lines of reasoning that seem to come from nowhere and contain almost zero rationale for inclusion.

Saturday Down South is pretty terrible, but that’s even beyond the normal level of inane posts there. In what world is kicking a wash, leaving aside the other nonsense in there? They return a guy who went 14 of 25 last year, and Georgia has a guy who might win the Groza this year.

Because when Bentley and Samuel are scoring TDs, their kicker won’t even have to attempt any FGs. “You can’t miss what you don’t attempt.” — Michael Jordan

But seriously, that was the biggest thing I saw as well. You could argue that Bentley was more important to his team than Fromm was to his, because Bentley had fewer weapons. It’s a strained argument that I don’t agree with, but you can torture the logic to get there.

You can also argue that USC’s superior returning production at WR trumps UGA’s superior athletes at the position. Again, I don’t agree. But obviously not every 4-star WR recruit makes a big splash. And I can agree that Samuel is probably the best WR on either team. I think UGA’s athletic depth and TEs and RBs catching balls make up for Samuel’s prowess, but a homer can be excused for ignoring that.

But I can’t see how a guy who made 54% of his field goals is a push against a guy who made 88% of his. That’s kind of significant and I don’t see how you just wave your hands and dismiss it.

Crap like this is why we need to salt the earth in The Roach this Saturday if we can. No letting off the gas. Punish, punish, punish. If we’re up 63-3 and on their 2-yard line at the end of the game and go victory formation, I’m gonna be pissed we didn’t try to score 70.

I’m sorry, I couldn’t read any of that because of the glare off of this SEC Championship Ring. What’d it say?

After you manage to get the glare out of your eyes you must first pick up a pipe and smoke a rock, the size of the Dawgs 2017 SEC Championship ring, of the finest crack that’s ever been cooked. Only then will you be able to follow the reasoning that led to the conclusions this writer surmised.

Honestly, if the 5 areas listed in the article are the only ones where the Cocks are “better” than the Dawgs, then the game this Saturday should be as pleasant as a walk through Dudley Park on a beautiful fall afternoon in The Classic City. All 5 areas listed are true strengths of this years Dawgs team. Whereas I wouldn’t consider that to be the case for the Cocks after looking at the numbers. They also didn’t mention the OL, DL, or defensive front 7 and we all know that the LOS is where the game is won or lost in almost every game.

So McClendon, who I do have respect for and hope he gets a shot at HC one day, is a better OC because he recruits better? What does that have to do with play calling?

“Jake Bentley had the same completion percentage (62.2) as Jake Fromm despite having considerably more attempts in two fewer games.”

Let’s see, those two extra games would be against Oklahoma and Alabama; great opportunities for Jake Fromm to pad his completion percentage stats against cupcakes in meaningless games. Great analysis…

Anatomically, there is no such thing as a Game Cock. Gamecloaca would be the correct name. Like Boom’s irrepressible mouth, the cloaca is an internal orifice that is both an exit and entry hole. A douche bag would fit nicely.

Steve, to help us better understand how our competition Saturday functions, can you give us the scientific name of the orifice through which our friend “Gallus Domesticus” eliminates waste? I’ve heard it called a “Spurrier” or a a “Muschamp”. Even a “Garcia” back in the day. Would you care to clear this up for the group?
